Video games don't raise or take care of your children, parents do.... Not to mention a 9 year old had no business playing that game. Tragic yes, but it has no relation to video games... Even if a child was imitating a game like that, it's still not the games fault, parents need to teach their children the difference between entertainment and reality, and then teach them good judgment, and THEN start buying age appropriate games for them. And how the hell would his friend know if he was imitat...

I would love to see GTA V as a PS3 exclusive. IV was great, it looked so fricken good, the lighting was great, but I feel like they sacrificed alot of details and mini games etc. because of it, stuff that makes it fun even after you beat it. But imagine if they had the space of a bluray, and the power of the cell, not held back by the 360s limits... Why we could have our cake and eat it too. Here's to wishful thinking! Do the right thing R*, go back home to the system that made you the famous...
I think I'm more excited for Versus than XIII.... It looks dark and edgy, and I like the NY type city. So stoked!
There's just too much of this generation left to say who's gonna win. PS3 has a huge rest of the year and a huge year for 2010 game wise as well. When God of War 3, Heavy Rain, and MAG etc. are out, I think it will change things. All parties involved aren't giving up without a fight, and we all shall reap the benefits of their pissing contest.
I guess they finally realized "WHEN IT'S DONE" isn't a fan pleaser.... better late than never. Does anyone still care though? Classic example of a company taking their fans for granted.

The real shame is, no one seems to be able to step up and fill the RPG gap left by Square. I wish Sony would stop ignoring RPG fans. They've seen how powerful a good RPG like FF can be for a console, why not tap into that audience and have one of their companies make a killer exclusive RPG franchise. Wishful thinking I suppose.
You'd think they would be listening by now, even if profits are there main concern, you can't increase profits if your fanbase no longer believes in your company. I guess they never heard the saying: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"
And the "Blu Ray routine" is Not getting old, in fact it's just begun, soon enough it will replace DVDs as the new format of choice.... But apparently it's already old to this guy... what a douche.
They shouldn't have to skip a year to be able to have good games the next year. They should be putting as much as they can into 2009 as well as looking toward 2010, just like I'm sure Sony isn't blowin their whole load on 2009, they're most definately able to focus on the present as well as the future. How insulting to the customers if this is the case, it's not like it's a new console, there's no reason why an entire year well into the machines lifespan, should be a dud as far as AAA games. ...

How could any new console compete with the ps3 and Wii if it came out mid gen? The growing pains are always there for new consoles, we all saw how the 360's head start made it difficult for the Ps3 to build momentum, well it would be that only significantly worse this late in the game. While the Ps3 would be flourishing in its prime, with a wide selection of games, the new 360 would still be getting its first few games... Who is he to decide what aspect of a game makes it worth paying for? I would rather a great single player experience than online play, it's the heart of the game. And suggesting renting it is crap, I want to support my favorite titles so they can continue to make these games.

This is not a fact.... First off having a distinct art style doesn't mean you can't have realism as well, in fact sometimes the art style adds to the realism. Personally I am a fan of realism, it helps trick the eye, and hence I can become more immersed in the game, not to say I need the game to look realistic to enjoy it, but it's also not true that gamers as a general rule don't want realism. I see what he means but I don't completely agree.
I used Windows most my computer using life, and had no end of problems... I've never looked back, there are pros and cons for both, but microsoft takes advantage of their customers, more than most companies.

Anyway I don't buy the 3d thing... why would random frames in a trailer be 3d, and they never mentioned anything about it. Plus who wants to go through the game wearing old school red n blue paper glasses, that's old dated tech, and it would ruin an otherwise gorgeous HD experience.
