Best conference I've seen yet. That motion controller is gonna change things in a great way. Very impressive
Edit: @ Dimitrius
You have to be joking about Microsoft having the best conference.... By no standard was it even close to what Sony had, I have an open mind, and while im excited for mass effect 2, Sony's conference was waaay better.
and I'm happy. Preferably in a stage demo of the game or something.
huh?! Get it!? ............. Cause it's flat..... ....... ... .. ...
UGLY.
Edit: For the record I don't think I believe this is real, certain details don't add up, plus making it so thin and so wide around, it doesn't look like it could sit on its side, so it could only sit the way you see it flat... Which defeats the purpose of making a new slim version, cause it takes up more space in surface area (which is what counts), they wouldn't redisign it just to make it...
Heavy Rain... I can't wait for more details on this one. WKC.... nuff said. Not to mention Uncharted 2, MAG, GoW3, Ratchet & Clank..... So efing stoked!
Saying "when it's ready" as a release date for a decade to loyal fans is obnoxious. Can't take your fans for granted in a competitive industry.
Hey, whatever works.
But it's more than a little early to know whether or not it's looking incredibly good, seeing as it's all still on paper. That being said, as a movie buff I hope he's right.
As much as I love FPS' the market is getting a little saturated... I miss RPG's!!! I feel like the industry's decided people don't want em anymore, but we do. The possibilities for RPGs with next gen tech could be so amazing, if only there were still a few companies tryin to out-RPG each other rather than tryin to out-FPS each other... Hell there's room for both. I guess I'm a little off topic but I'm an RPG fanatic and quite honestly this generation has abandoned RPG fans, thus far.
What the hell made them decide that only certain paying customers deserve a properly working product? Were they payed not to fix bugs in the Ps3 version? Or do they just arbitrarily favor customers who bought the 360 version. I'm really getting sick of this sh!t. I pay $60, $70, or $80 for a game I want it supported, it's bad enough they're getting payed off to withhold content from Ps3 owners.
They won't release one that soon. They can't start a new console mid generation, that's why you notice all three new consoles this gen (ps3, 360, wii) were all released within the same general time frame. If one company releases a new console mid gen they could never compete with a thriving console, there has top be incentive to buy, like knowing all the other consoles will be moving on to new projects within the next year or so as well, but if the rest aren't, why go for a new expensive cons...
So much going on at once, it's like a full scale war. Looks like you could really get immersed in the whole thing.
I'm not saying the article claimed it had to do with gaming, I'm saying it doesn't belong on a gaming site like this. It's not gaming news, and when it is posted on a game site it implies that gaming had something to do with it, at least in my opinion... Cause otherwise why was it posted here? Should we post news here about anything as long as someone involved happened to play video games?
For christ sake, just cause the guys happened to play videogames.... even if it WAS over a game it still would have nothing to do with gaming. I hate it when people post this sh!t here, as if to imply video games had something to do with. Hey maybe the two guys both shared a love for the godfather trilogy, lets post this on imdb.
It's always awesome seeing games I loved from last gen for the first time on next gen systems. Can't wait!
The consumer has to wait because of corporate rivalry. Fine release it multiplat. but don't hold back the Ps3 version.
Heavy Rain. Then WKC.
They didn't overcome it.... They slapped some ducked tape on it n swept it under the carpet.
Thanks buddy, for answering the question nobody asked. How would any of us know what to buy without your clearly biased opinion.
The Ps3 has it's share hurdles, but this article is a little extreme to say the least.
And even though they clearly said the design wasn't finished, the point is how accurate it is and how with this motion capture tracking you can capture precise movements which make it more effective for hardcore games like shooters that require such accuracy. There are endless possibilities with this tech, the presentation did a great job of showing it's versatility in my opinion.
