No it's not. I'm really not serious about my gaming. I couldn't care less about tactics. I'm more of a casual player (I usually choose easy or medium when I have a difficulty choice).
I already know MW3 is going to be mindless fun, so why switch to something more complex that is going to make me feel like I'm working rather than playing a game?
I'm not buying MW3 for the framerate... I'm buying it for the fun and to play with my friends online.
None of my friends play Battlefield
I saw some screen tearing, but that could have been from the camera recording it.
If you're wondering how I noticed the tearing, it's because I downloaded the video and went through it frame-by-frame.
My thoughts exactly. I think the days where the 360 had a huge difference in game quality is behind us now. If anything, the PS3 has the slight edge lately. I say slight edge because both games are near identical but one game might have a few more frames per second or less screen tearing, but it's nothing you're going to notice without an analyzer.
It doesn't matter to me which version is best because I'm not getting any of them.
Quite frankly... I'm really tired of ALL first person games.
I've been playing a lot of Uncharted, Infamous and Tomb Raider games and those tend to be my style of gameplay.
I used to be into FPS games... don't get me wrong, but I just have FPS fatigue right now.
The background on their site looks exactly like PSU.com
You know.... I rented the game and I can't see why people like it so much. I'm 28 years old and I just didn't find it to be very fun. Maybe I need to stick to platformers.
@DaTruth:
I bought Uncharted 1 the other day and it still has screen tearing problems. Lots of screen tearing.
Uncharted 3 will have none (just like Uncharted 2)
You know... my PS3 doesn't seem any different. Oh well.
I say bring it on!
Just as long as they don't change the XMB.
Hahahahaha! That was awesome!
Best nade video ever!
Seriously though... I never knew about that chimney... I can't believe the developers would make the chimney work too!
Black Ops is the most realistic shooter!
They look the same to me. What's the big deal?
Are you kidding me? I've seen all the trailers and it has a very Call of Duty feel to it... except with monsters. After all, Call of Duty titles run on a modified version of the quake engine.
Lame article.
This game looks like open world call of duty to me. What's so great about the graphics? All the lighting looks baked in.
No matter what review you're reading, you're reading the opinions of the reviewer. Some people hate high rated games and some people love low rated games.
I happened to love Infamous 2. It was so much better than the original.
Gears is not my type of game, so no matter what score it gets, I'm not going to like it.
Battlefield 3 is the same game with updated graphics. Destruction looked like crap on console as well.
I'd rather play a game that's fun over a game that's realistic.
They're talking about more recoil than MW2... not black ops. IW didn't work on black ops.
I'm sure mw3 will have similar recoil to black ops.
Once again DICE shows off that they aren't afraid of screen tearing!
I'm not buying this if it has a single torn frame on the final release.
MW3 is guaranteed not to tear.
Also, don't tell me "But, there's so much more to the graphics in Battlefield 3, so a little screen tearing is fine"... not to me. If the developer can't get amazing graphics AND no screen tearing, then they failed at the visuals.
How come they didn't post GTAIV (console)?
That has the best textures I've ever seen in a console game. Truly stunning and high res.
