Wrong!!!
You saw my post about Sony buy Pysgnosis.
VR is dope, but it will not shift the current console gaming market in some new era.
There is a few reasons, like my brother gets dizzy while playing for more than 20min or so.
Some people think they look silly.
There is nothing relaxing about VR, for the full VR feel you have to move. Some people use gaming to sit back on a nice chair or couch and play.
People with epilepsy are highly skeptical about it.
...
Ahhh, so that is the spin...first console..got it.
The difference being Sony did get a foothold..
I'll ask you the same question, was it ok then?
Nice spin, I like that one.
Sony had more money than Nintendo and Sega back then.
Also being 3rd place every gen is not gaining a foothold, time is irrelevant, position/money is what matters.
You never touched on the fact that they bought a pub as well tho...was it ok then?
I wanted to post this again.
Remember back in the day, Sony bought Psygnosis to gain ground on the competition. Psygnosis was a publisher and, had 100s of games under their belt, many of them becoming PS exclusives, and they then started creating exclusively for PS if I recall.
I know people will say, that was like 30 years ago...but time has nothing to do with attempting to gain a foothold in a market where you are not number 1.
We can...
I just read it, Nvidia did not challenge anything, and I don't see any statements from Google.
With Stadia's shut down, how would this truly affect google? As a matter of fact it would only help them as the go to phone O/S with GP streaming.
Could they be concerned with King games, games being exclusive to GP?
You are right Masterfox, I saw it advertised the other day from an Xbox commercial.
The ad said " Play 100s of games in stunning 4k/60fps up to 120fps w Dolby Digital from award winning studios including Bethesda, creators of the elder Scroll series, Jump in".
"And then the fast talking, discloser voice came on and said.
"Oh, and we plan to Destroy the gaming industry, nan nan, nan, nan masterfox.
So I see ...
Yes Fallout 76 had issues at launch, but so did FF14, so much so that they had to pretty much revamp the entire game.
Fallout 76 is well supported and the most jarring issues fixed. Almost 14 mill players is not a bad number to sustain a game that was proclaimed dead a short while after launch.
What a lame comment as they are 2 different studios.
Try harder next time will ya.
What a silly thing to say, anyone who buys an Xbox this year will have a choice of "big games" games to go back and play.
Halo: Infinite
Forza 5(I love how Forza is just Forza, lol, but GT is amazing right?)
MS flight Sim
Hight on Life
Pentiment
Scorn
Vampire Survivors
Grounded
As Dusk falls
See, they have all those good games to play if they go back. Then they have the stac...
@Sam,
Because you have to recall the narrative spin of the whole 2022 for Xbox. The nonsensical spin that 1st party output is all that matters, and 3rd party exclusives and lots of other games, counted for nothing, equalling "Xbox has no games".
I completely disagree with that narrative, and can see the PS5 have some great 3rd, and first party exclusives coming in 2023..but the goal post movers on here that based a whole console year on only 1st...
I can see Sony winning some months throughout the year, but a price drop, and Zelda will see Switch winning in whatever months a price cut may happen, and definitely in may with BotW 2.
I posted something very similar the other day, MS had no burden to provide that info, on top of that, they don't own or manage CoD games.
People were calling them liars, and I was so confused as to what they did not understand. This situation is no different, it's court case tactics.
BtW, I just saw something a fellow gamer mentioned.

My experience is exactly what you described.
Gamers are becoming like politicians, Red Vs Blue, no matter what the other side does it gets bashed, even when they both have bad practices, often times the same bad practices, just presented differently.
I often question people like S2Killinit, are you a gamer? I can understand liking one system over another, but when ANY system gets games that I want to play, I want the system and games, I don't care how it's there or why it's there, I just know I want to play it. It has been like this for me since SNES and Genesis(NES didn't have that much comp).
I got a SNES because of the game that was offered, many 3rd party games never came to Genesis, and back then,...
I hope it's live service.
I really feel like if anyone could manage to put out a good fleshed-out live service game it would be Sony, they have top developers over there. Take some of that Sony single-player magic, use Bungie's multiplayer design knowledge and mix it well, and we might be pleasantly surprised.
I don't even mind MTX as long as it's not advantageous in gameplay, and fairly priced.
As to be expected, they are usually the market leaders, congrats to Sony...I contributed to the # by 1...doing my part to keep gaming healthy.
What will be interesting in the next few years is Nintendo releasing a Switch 2...with the way the Switch sell, could a Switch 2 possibly catch and pass MS and Sony alike? Nintendo is always a wild card and keeps thing spicy.
This is where they move the goal post and their past feeling and comments.
It changes every other month.
"The deal will be blocked"
"CoD won't be on GP day 1"
"The settlement will be huge"
All of it is irrelevant to the bottom line.
They did own Ips and they were publishers, and they did make PS exclusives.

MS released games on other platforms as well and clearly stated they would release COD on other consoles for 10 years, including Nintendo, in fact, all of their games will be on PC. their mobile games will remain on mobile, and Minecraft is still be supported on every platform, ori series released on Switch, Elder Scrolls Online is still supported, and they are allowing GP on steam deck.
