I'm a long time gamer and I do not recall any such saying.
Me and my friends played NES, Master system, SNES, Genesis, 3DO, Jaguar, TG 16(Turbo Duo) and everything up until now...with those systems gamers did not really care about sales..it was all about the games, all the time.
Even from PS1 and N64, it still was about games. This whole, who sells better is the best nonsense started to get big with the 360 and PS3.
You wording indicates that you want it/would like it/and excited for not just the game, but for it to be exclusive.
"ps5 exclusive, book it!!!"
The clear excitement of it being PS5 exclusive has you throwing up examination marks which would indicate excitement for a it to be a PS5 exclusive. I can only interpret from what you wrote.
Your 2nd thought.
"Man I will literally blow a load when it's announced"
...
Man, I hope this is true, Current gen MGR 2 would be nuts.
Fully upgraded 2 & 3 would be excellent. I was not a big fan of 4 and 5, while not bad games, I just didn't think they were in class with 2&3.
Why do you want it to be PS Exclusive?
I thought we wanted 3rd party games to be available everywhere.
A lot of potentially great games in the pipeline.
I do know one thing, if Hellblade 2 ends up looking like what we have seen so far, it will be hands down the most graphically impressive game on console thus far.
Calisto Protocol, Dead Space: Remake, Re4: Remake, and Silent Hill: Remake.
Horror games are back in a big way! I'm loving it.
We already knew that from the day it was announced right?
You can turn up/alter the difficulty in many different ways, there are setting for combat and exploration. You could have the survival vision turned completely off, you can have no highlight markers, you can increase enemies difficulty, ammo scarcity and even health Regen.
That seems like it would solve 1/2 your problems with the game...the survival vision and no hints, or markers seem like what you want..its all in there.
Yeah, play it on Hunter difficulty(Hard), I imagine normal would have been too easy as enemies constantly drop shield regens. There are 5 guns, 3 mods each that change the secondary fire and you get normal upgrades to ammo, damage, reload speed and secondary fire cool down, so 5 guns, 3 mods each, and the ability to use the alt fire/or standard fire one after another. Then there is flying, Knifey, and whip-lashing around the battlefield/environments all while being able to switch weapons and ...
I did enjoy them very much
My bad, I misunderstood your comparison, I read that you were a fan of the originals and thought that was your barometer.
That is the great thing about gaming, people will have different experiences even from the same game.
There were 3 mods for each gun, and I found it very easy and fun to switch between them in combat, like using Sweezy's slow down, then switching to Kenny for a Glob shot.
Or hovering/flying around and shooting off Creatures' babies and then Kenny and peppering them with normal fire and globs.
It could have used more mods of course, but switching between guns made it feel like I had good variety.
Indeed, Shadow was excellent. The upgrading skill, optional Tombs for skills, and overall polish of Shadow were great.
I know what you mean about Jonah to an extent, but did you play the games with all the DLC? he actually found love and was fleshed out as a person with feeling a bit more, showing him devoted to someone else besides Laura was a nice touch IMO.
I bought the Trilogy with all the DLC included, so I wasn't sure what was only in the origin...
Hmm, the combat in the first original games was very simplistic, more akin to a "Wii" game, whatever that really means.
The new trilogy 100% imo had way better combat than the original games. They have stealth, which was solid, good gun and arrow play, and a variety of gadgets and environment playground to approach each encounter. There were parts where I was able to kill all enemies without being spotted, then there were parts, I used the tree tops to kill to my ...
Just finished it last week.
8/10 for me...loved the world, and the characters and the upgrades and variety of guns made combat fun.
Honest question, what did you find bad about it? the opening 2 hrs of Shadow were fantastic imo.
The opening was very similar to the first 2, what did you find really bad?
Not looking for an argument, just an honest question.
I know it is your opinion, but she did progress as a character in each game, she even got more muscular and seasoned.
That is the thing, people first complained that there was not enough platforming and actual tomb raiding in the first and second games. Shadow remedied that and kept the combat elements.
3-4 encounters? huh? did we play the same game? there was plenty of combat and, the skill tree did matter, like being able to hang enemies from trees, se...
I loved all 3 games, Rise being my favorite. IMO, this was one of the best rebooting of a series.
A lot of people say that shadow was bad, but IMO it was excellent, Shadow nailed the gameplay elements and felt more polished that the first 2. I enjoyed Rise more for its level design and setting.
I can't wait for the next entry in the series.. .day 1 for sure.
@Sully,
I have never heard that saying...so sue me for not knowing a quote from a corporate suit..donkey years ago lol.
And if you noticed my whole comment shows that I was being truthful...I took it as a gamer saying, not a company, and then I even said that didn't become a thing until 360 & PS3, exactly when the quote was said.
Stan, my bad for not getting your reference, that I still don't agree with lol.
