"What Uncharted 2 did for last gen, Bloodborne is this game that will usher a new era of gaming and game creation."
Okay bro, slow your roll. Bloodborne is everything we expected out of a Miyazaki game, but why would it make such a huge impact on gaming when the three games that it is practically identical to (Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2) had little affect on any game outside of Lords of the Fallen?
The Souls (and now Blood) franchis...
Leaked? Not so much. But it was rumored ever since January earlier that year.

ntkrnl discussed on NeoGAF that H2A was coming, and that ports of H3/H4 were also coming. CEA was a 'surprise' though.
I still prefer COD4:MW. I dislike the franchise as a general rule, but that one still stands out as one of the best FPSs ever made. It's in a different category, sure, but it's up there with Doom/Unreal/Halo/etc.
I wish I was a kiwi... What's Middle Earth like?
OT: Yeah, the title is a bit deceiving. I thought it meant for all titles as well.
Wonder what they'll have for the current gen consoles.
Make up your mind. Do you want Halo on PC or don't you? If so, don't complain about the PC "installments" - as this is the best you're gonna get.
Core Halo = Xbox
Spin-offs = PC (+ Xbox eventually (usually))
OT: I'm not a huge fan of how MS is "diluting" the IP with these titles. I mean, yes, stuff like Spartan Assault and whatnot do help expand the lore, but I would rather it be put in a graphic novel, rather than ...
I'm pretty sure we can all agree that we would rather get any of the listed titles than stuff like DmC: Definitive Edition... And even then, calm down. You can write up an opinion piece if you disagree with this so wholeheartedly.
For the PS4? Maybe. XO's was Titanfall/Sunset Overdrive/TMCC.
"I didn't hear anything about a petition to bring The Order:1886 to PC."
There were probably several reasons for this. 1 Because the dev had never developed anything for PC, but 2 because the game is nowhere near as good as Bloodborne appears to be.
The thing a lot of people are forgetting (ignoring?) is that the price wasn't dropped $150, but instead an alternate SKU was made available. The console itself has only received a $50 price drop.
The Kinect is just as expensive as it always was, only now you have the option to buy the console with or without it.
If going by reviews, I usually take a look at Game Informer (who is usually pretty lenient in their reviews) and Gamespot (who is notoriously brutal in their reviews)...
This time? Bloodborne got a 9.75/10 from GI and a 9/10 from GS. Looks great all around!
Really wish this was multiplat. Sony scooped up a good one. Love the guys at FromSoft.
If that was the case, Sony would be including GoW 1 & 2 & 3... Not just GoW3.
If Sony wanted to introduce new-comers to the IP, it makes absolutely no sense to start them off with the final installment of the property (since apparently Ascension isn't worth it).
Also, As @13.1 already brought up, Sony has a GoW saga on PS3 right now for $17.99. Why Sony can't put that on PS4 instead of only 1/5th of it is beyond me.
And if Spencer's promotion was any indication, it looks like Microsoft has finally realized this. Putting a game developer as the head of the platform is the best decision they could have made. http://t.co/nwf6Rz6WGP
Is it? Yes, the games are absolutely amazing, but do they really /need/ to be remastered?
At this point, I'm getting fatigued by how many 7th gen titles that are being re-released on 8th gen. Backwards compatibility is one thing, and generation transitions are always difficult for developers (letting go of a 160+ million install base is never going to be easy), but we're pushing two years into the new cycle of consoles.
Assuming the XO/PS4 last as lon...
God I cannot wait. Between TMCC finally being [almost] 100% fixed, the teaser coming on Sunday, and now this... Halo 5 cannot get here soon enough!
I'm still not sold on Locke's character, but I'm incredibly optimistic. Halo 4's story was the deepest (IMO), and I trust 343 to not screw it up. As long as the MP is on point (which it seems to be) then this is already looking like a winner!
The free 2-weeks is the real deal! I've wanted to get into Horizon since the original release, but I've never been /that/ into racers. I enjoyed the hell out of the free Forza 5 weekend last year, so I imagine this will be even better!
At this point, are we really /THAT/ surprised that it was approved as a rumor?
>I cant see many games outside of first party and PC only titles picking up DX12.
Um.... What? What sense does that make? It seems like any game that would release on XO and/or PC (regardless of exclusivity) would WANT to take advantage of the Windows 10/DX12 API cross-platform development.
Why? Well, there are many performance reasons, but the main one that comes to my mind is that porting between the two now only takes a few hours hours, as apposed to what ...
DX12 games are coming out this year. Fable: Legends, Halo 5: Guardians, and Forza Motorsport 6 to name the XO titles. Not sure what PC titles (if any) will utilize it this year.
The sense of accomplishment that Demon's Souls/Dark Souls/now Bloodborne provide (I assume. I haven't played it yet.) is practically unrivaled. There's a certain "membership feel" that you get when you finish the game. A "I'm good enough to power through and be part of the Dark Souls /Club/" feel...
My crowning achievement so far? "The Dark Soul - All achievements completed. Congratulations!"
100%ing a Souls game....
