I mean, give me a BREAK! I can't believe there were people who actually thought that this was the concrete length of the game. I don't even have to explain why this was so ridiculous in the first place...

That's what I did, but it still disappoints me that they picked some of the songs in the first place, even if I don't have to listen to them. Know what I mean?

6 PS3 games, 5 360 games. I am not the type of gamer who will buy any old piece of crap game just because it is released on a console.

There are quite a few number of games coming out this year on PS3 that should raise that number quite a bit. I wish I could say the same thing about the 360, but there just isn't as much content that I am looking forward to; PS3 definitely has '08 cornered.

Hopefully the gameplay and fun factor can match up to GTA's, as the majority of what people like about the GTA games is in all the random stuff that happens while playing. Because Mafia has a more serious aspect to it, I doubt it will reach the same kind of audience or have the same widespread appeal.

Still, here's hoping it turns out to be a great game and goes on to sell as many copies as it can.

I mean, Avril Lavigne as one of the most prominent artists in the game? Give me a f'n break!

Anyway, thanks a bunch for clearing up the confusion for me between the updates. Here's a bubble for you for providing such an informative post!

I plan to get this on the 360 for the splitscreen, but I know for a fact that there's no way Epic will get all of this mod madness to the 360 in a timely matter. Furthermore, when Gears of War 2 comes out, they will probably stop caring in the first place.

At least the PS3 version gets unlimited mod support with the ease of importing from the internet. And before anyone cries foul, stating that mods could be in the disguise of viruses or bad code, most sites test mods before the...

Anything else, and it's "Call of Doodie"!

You do know that they were playing the 360 version, right? You didn't tell us anything about the PS3, and even if you tried to, I would hope that anyone with half a brain in their head would realize that anything you say is irrelevant; You couldn't make an unbiased comment to save your own life.

Whoops! ;p

Disk streaming alone just doesn't cut it with this game. It's why Rockstar opted for installs (albiet optional on the 360) on both versions. They wanted people to install it to get the best experience in the game.

edit: @ myabsolution: Bingo!

Yes, I agree. It's why all PC games perform better when installed on the HDD, and many games REQUIRE you to install the game before you can even play it, even though many games on the PC still requi...

Custom soundtracks are a must for this game. EA trax in Burnout Paradise feature some of the sh1ttiest songs i've ever heard in any of the Burnout games. Burnout 3 still had some of the best songs, though Revenge had its share of winners. Paradise trax is all around general crap.

It will be nice to see the advantages of a quick 5 minute install in relation to general game stability.

Congratulations! You win the dumbest comment of the day award! Good luck on fighting Power of Green for your trophy though; he is really protective of it.

Now THAT game required some serious adjusting when learning how to drive the vehicles

Like I said, this is just how gaming works, and now that consoles are becoming more like PC's with every passing generation we will see more and more of this.

I get what you are saying, but there's no denying that as games get bigger we will more than likely see games needing updates, especially because consoles are now being expected to have Harddrives.

Haha, I hope there are rampage-like missions in GTA IV. I love just going around killing hordes of assholes who deserve the punishment, only to recieve a buttload of money in the end for my troubles. The only thing that pissed me off about the rampage icons is how they would change location if you failed them; punishing you for sometimes being unprepared for the chaos that ensued.

However, so long as it doesn't completely detract from the overall enjoyment of the game is what matters. Sure, there might be glitches, but every game has a negative nuance or two that might throw the elitist nitpicker for a loop.

Like you said, the minor things such as this won't take anything away from your overall GTA IV experience. I think that it's just because everyone who has reviewed the game so far has handed out perfect ratings, and we as realists need something to co...

It's one of the perils that comes with having such an open-ended world sandbox-type game such as this. I remember my first experience with Vice City, I was just cruising down the road and I stopped to look around. A car was driving down the road and all of a sudden came to a dead stop and ended up being stuck in the street with its front end clipping through the pavement. This is just the way things are in open-world games.

The thing that gets me is how fickle and whiney gamers a...
