I am sick of the fragmented approach that Sony takes when uploading PS1 games to the network. Why is it so damn easy to approve Japanese titles for the store, while countless titles go untouched by SCEA in the US and SCEE in EU?
It's simply... http://tinyurl.com/63kfz6 !
Because unlike the PC-centric Command and Conquer games, Pixel Junk monsters was designed with a controller in mind. It works out perfectly, and the extremely simple interface and gameplay sits well in a console environment.
Considering how easy it is to integrate mouse and keyboard support into games on the PS3 (Unreal Tournament III, for example), I don't see why more strategy developers aren't looking at the system as an option. After all, a big negative in most reviews for strategy games released on the 360 is the fact that it's just plain clunky to use a controller for any strategy-based games.
I think it's just the fact that most strategy game developers have an entire game development environm...
This is the best Dragon Ball Z fighting game to date. The mechanics work so much better than the previous games in the DBZ lineage, and I like the episode-by-episode layout. At times it felt a little bit too easy to get an "A" or "Z" rating, but overall the game felt solid. I have never really considered buying a DBZ fighting game in the past, but after checking out the Burst Limit demo, I am now considering buying this one.
My friend, who is a huge DBZ fan, ...
Here's a bubble. Great comment... it bleeds truth.
Though from the sound of their predictions, it doesn't sound quite unified yet. I hope Sony can roll this thing out the way it should, and enable unified support through the actual system, and not have it be just a game-by-game basis, like we currently have.
Wifi is useless? What a moron!
Those graphics are amazing, and it looks like both version are running at the exact same framerate. It would appear that there is also screen tearing in both versions in that video, regardless of what the fanboys here would like everyone to think. I think these guys are really talented developers and I believe they will be able to get both versions running exactly the same, especially impressive because they are developing this game around a PC-centric coded engine.
Ridiculous!
I can't wait for this to come out
I would imagine that any company with any semblance of business smarts who wants the Blu-Ray format to take off would realize that they need to get prices down before the beginning of the holiday season months (October, November, December).
NG2 is still a great game, despite the framerate issues and (more importantly), camera problems. Besides, I would take a few framerate drops over a camera that causes you to die in stupidly cheap ways. I thought bad camera design was fading out with every new generation, but I guess Itagaki is too busy talking sh1t on other developers to make sure his own games are without shortcomings.
NG2 isn't a flop, but it also isn't the extreme AAA title that many were hoping it to be. It'...
How many of those games were given nearly an extra year of development time over the 360 version? Many of those games were only delayed a month or so (basically "timed exclusivity" in the fanboy realm). Plus one of them (Alone in the Dark) isn't even out yet!
Even I know for a FACT that 98% of any and all High-Definition discs on the market right now outclass any upscaled DVD in not only video, but audio and extra interactive features. To say anything otherwise would show anyone being in a (rather) ridiculous state of denial.
What other "ports" can you name that have been given that long of a development cycle? I was trying to stay on topic with your original posts' contextual matter. Isn't that the nature of effectively replying to a post?
Instead of just accepting their loss and working with the BDA to further the technology into one integrated A/V home entertainment solution, they are trying to stall things even further by adopting this "non-conformist" attitude with marketing upscaling DVD players as High Definition film. After all, they are a huge company, and you would think that they would at least be a little bit concerned with their bottom line now that HD-DVD is dead and over with.
Unless you actually set them side by side and gave each and every consumer a reference blu-ray vs. upscaled DVD comparison, most people don't really care because they are reluctant to replace their DVD's with better looking and better sounding versions. It's like if you gave someone a Creative Zen, and and Ipod, and asked them to tell you which one they believed would give you the better overall experience, without listening to or using each of the respective players. You can bet most people ...
Here's a bubble for you, Jason, for providing mindless entertainment. Whenever I want to laugh heartily, I come over to the open zone... :)
Heh, he seems to have forgotten about Oblivion, which runs smoother and looks better, and had almost a year of extra development time by a separate dedicated team. Bioshock will be no different. :)
Keep trying, Toshiba!
Otherwise, no purchase for me!
