Admittedly I try to avoid reviews these days as I am very much aware of the click for revenue nature that often appears to drive forward controversial reviews.

I believe reviews themselves have become a source of entertainment as opposed to the informative articles they once were. Am I the only person who misses the 90's and early 2000's? Haha.

I really want siege to be good but its up against a hell of alot of competition on all platforms. I'll s...

I seem to have missed it, available on steam?

Shame about Soldier of Fortune being grounded into obscurity with Payback, although I found it perfectly playable it wasn't really a satisfactory addition to the series. Wolfenstein the new order helped bridge the gap of old school awesomeness.

Oh snap, I swear I'm obsessed with that game. Completed it numerous times on PC, PS3 and 360 haha and I still miss it now.

Would be the perfect excuse for me to buy a half decent GPU.

There's loads of crazy deals on at the moment. PlayStation 4 for £200? Even though I thoroughly enjoy my Xbox One and also have a fair few games on pc its hard to turn down such an insanely good deal.

Resident Evil 4 was for many perhaps the pinnacle of the series and a defining 3d action title that paved the way for the next decade of action shooters.

The pacing is perfect with tension, exploration, set pieces, huge action and boss fighting set across multiple beautiful and varied locales. From my perspective at least.

I must have played every release on every platform for Resi 4 and am still surprised by how good it is. The ultimate HD edition easily tru...

+1 for you as I was laughing out loud.

Sony claimed that the next generation (in the earnest of 360/PS3) didn't start until they said so, IE the release of PS3.

They also told consumers to get a second job if they couldn't afford it.

Eventually it launched for a comical price sans some anticipated features such as dual HDMI streaming and an online service reminiscent of PC circa 1998, still it turned out just fine.

We can all selectively interpret pieces of history, I do n...

Lots of people buying the HD and reduxes? That isn't meant as sarcasm or trolling it is a serious question in relation to your comment.

Is the wire really so bad though? I think maybe the idea of the cable is worse than the reality. I don't think its out where I live but I'll definitely give it a try when it gets here.

Its an absolutely banging controller for the money, officially licensed by Microsoft of a high quality and a fine alternative or spare to the original pad besides which it has some remapping features.

I was hoping that would say "You can get Quiet to talk" wouldn't that have been an epic stealth easter egg haha

Realistically though I remember Halo 3 running at a bizarre resolution that was extremely unkind to TFT/TN panels and having huge thick borders on the 360 and that was on Bungie's watch.

It looked great on my brother HDTV and terrible on my monitor, it was probably the single worst looking 360 game I had seen on a monitor alongside Forza 2. I was very disappointed then and only really discovered any enjoyment of the game via the MCC on Xbox One earlier this year.

I thought that only intelligent, balanced and valuable posts would be contributed in the digital era if the 21St century where access to information and knowledge is limitless to those of us in such privileged position.

My bad.

I would say that this verdict was inevitable. Is Joe known for his click bate, borderline inane rants? I would say definitely. Although I usually find them amusing I would never personally buy or avoid a game on the strength of his reviews.

I really don't understand this nonsense "win the season" is it just me? "win Christmas" etc, it seems misguided at best and pathetic at worst. Why does anyone have to win at all. Obviously a company going bust isn't grand but I don't think that Microsoft are in that position.

I do not not know if the original Xbox, Dreamcast, Gamecube or Nintendo 64 sold particularly well, each of those systems though provided some of my most cherished gaming e...

I recently purchased quite a fast 1tb drive and really pleased with how simple they've made the integration.

My freely inherited 2007 mid range pc puts on a better show. As for uncharted not having dedicated servers, yes I guess its a blow but in all honesty surely only a few games have used them?

I've been gaming online since 2004 and never really seen significant issues outside of the generi...
