A. MS never said DX12 would have a big impact on X1, but it has had big impacts on PC. B. The Cloud is 100% real. You can cry all you want and pretend its not it is. We've had one game already use it to a small degree and one coming using it to a great degree. C. I love my X1 as do many people.
Whats hilarious is that if the PS4 was THAT much better no one would buy an X1. Yet it continues to sell well.
@Wearelegion
GoW came out in 2006 on brand new hardware. TLoU came out in 2012 and when it re-released looked very similar. Where Gears looked like a much newer game. I would bet any amount of money more work went into the GoW remaster TLoU remaster.
@Sparta
I can still ask the question FREE COUNTRY.
I wasn't knocking him I was just wanted some context for his comment.
@Aussie
Dont have a problem with Opinion. As a grown man I can tell what you are saying is opinion. Doesnt mean Im not going to ask for context. This is a comment section where people comment on what other people say. IS the only acceptable comment that supports you?
I asked t...
@ESsmitty
You are basing your comments on your colored view of things. You assume that Insomniac and MS were expecting 5-6 million units. What if they figured around 1 million copies and with the money MS paid it was a win.
Same with bloodborne. Dont just assume things man. Yes would it being a multi made it sell more of course. Water is also wet.
How many have you played? I mean I love R&C and think its fantastic but so are many of the other platformers.
For a new IP on a new console SSOD did just fine.
To ME it sounds as if the PS4.5 is more than just a rumor with tons of details about all sorts of aspects of the console. This is a production sheet for a system literally called a second generation. Which using history as a litmus test means its probably a smaller cheaper version of the same box.
All that said it could be an upgraded box which is STILL a BAD IDEA. So settle down. The PS faithful on this site have trumpeted the PS4.5 has the greatest thing ever. When its fa...
According to the post the translation is not Xbox One 2 its Xbox One Second Generation. It sounds like the Xbox is probably getting a new quieter(if that's even possible, I've never heard a peep out of mine), cooler, smaller, less expensive chip set. The X360 (the first black one) got the same treatment.
IMO it does not sound any where near PS4.5
Metacritc means nothing. Bro.
@Chug
part of the definition is "out of date". The PS4 faithful this gen talk about nothing but performance. If you don't making something out of date to people who seem to only care about performance you're fooling yourself.
@Dark
PC gamers know what hey're getting themselves into. Always have. When people bought the PS4 they never expected to have a superior version of their console come out with in 3 years.
Performance has been THE hot button this generation. So you're telling me the PS4 faithful that count every pixel aren't going to hate the fact that they either A have to spend more money already (on top of VR if they choose that as well) or B have to live wi...
How does the Neo not alienate its current owner base? If they spend the entire E3 showing how great games look on a system no one owns people will be very mad. Well not the hardcore on this site because no matter what stupid thing Sony does they support them (ie EA Access, PS4.5).
Also I'm not a tech expert but are the specs that have been leaked THAT much better than the current set up? Enough to make people spend the money? Why not launch the PS5 with significantly be...
You're 100% right. For proof all you need to do is read the support PS4.5 is getting from the hardcore on this site. They're basically making the current PS obsolete and people are saying thank you. HAHA
A decrease is hardware revenue is due to their position in the market this gen. If you look above I mention that of course MS would like to make $2000 per console sold. But that isn't realistic. That said the REAL money is made over the life of ownership. So yes MS would like to make more on each console sold. But big picture; getting them into peoples homes is more important.
@Grub
My point with what I said was that a 7-10% growth in any field that i...
Christopher what do you do for a living? Because I work in sales Ina very competitive field not unlike gaming consoles (in competitiveness) and we forecast 7-10% growth knowing that's a very hard target. So in other words yes 6% and 11% growth in one quarter is most definitely something to write home about.
Herb just wants to say it's doing badly. He clearly doesn't understand business. Any company would like to make $2000 per console sold but that's not realistic. They look at each individual gamer that has an X1. MS and Sony concerned about the lifetime value of the customer. So if they lose $100 today (making that number up) on the sale of the hardware but make $2,500 (again just for argueement sake) over a 5-7 year console cycle per gamer. That's a huge amount money made. ...
Massive, the developer is top notch I don't think they are leaving anything to rot. The issue lies in the fact that you can burn through the content so fast if you try hard enough. That and the lack of true PvP to distract you from the main game. They should really attempt to release content faster or introduce PvP as a stand alone free update ASAP.
You're on this site a lot. I mean as much as I am. Are you HONESTLY trying to say that the hate the sad ps4 fanboys levy at MS is to the same degree MS fanboys levy hate against PS4? You're living to me and yourself if you say yes.
I have both consoles and play games for both consoles, and read articles concerning both consoles. I've never seen the hate in a ps article the way you do in ms ones.
Those articles you like to are fun of haters and t...
Why do we have these articles? Unless the article says the xbox one has sold a combined 54 units and the PS4 cured cancer, HIV, and world hunger, its pure anarchy in the comment section.
The PS4 faithful have like this chip on their shoulder that's causing them to just be super crazy towards anything Xbox.
Now before a moderator marks this anything negative (while leaving the vast majority of pure nonsense alone) keep in mind my comment is a musing o...
To your first point you are completely guessing at Sonys dedication to a system not even announced yet. lol
To your second point, the X1 is selling very well, not as well as the PS4, but that doesn't change the fact that the "brand" is doing just fine. Add to that the PC integration with the X1 (or perhaps even deeper with whatever is coming next) and the brand will have a bright future.
Thanks for trying though!
