i think nintendo took the easy option with this game. obviously a true 3d mario on a hd platform would take a lot of development time, and with zelda wiiu too, it would have been too much.
nintendo need to expand because this drip feeding of games is pathetic. and we should not have to settle for these shit mario games that are compromised.

xenoblade, last story and pandoras tower are all excellent nintendo published games with mature stories, none of which feature gratuitous levels of the above mentioned themes.

nintendo is actually being smarter than most of us give them credit for.
while the other consoles are being flooded with almost identical shooters of mediocre quality, nintendo is taking its time to master very high quality games that will stand the test of time.
i think people need to change their attitude towards games, as games are starting to become so trivial, almost like fast food. they come and go, you move on to the next one and so on.
console gaming was suppose to be a plug-and-play alternative to the NIGHTMARE of complexities involved in pc gaming.

gamestop were going to boycott the X1 by not stocking it. since the DRM policy essencially would put gamestop out of business since they rely heavily on the second-hand selling of games. of course gamestop would have objections to it.
