I'm a stubborn fanboy because I rate those particular games in the FF series towards the worst?
There are a other games with the Final Fantasy name that I have played that I rate higher than them, but the list is just too long to put them all in. It just so happens they are the lowest on this long list it doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy playing it.
XIII-2 had its moments, heck I wouldn't have put so much time into it if I hadn't enjoyed i...
Yeah, the issue is though that majority of the time it isn't done properly.
Another top 5? Well since we are sharing.
1. FFVI
2. FFVIII
3. FFVII
4. FFIV
5. FFIX
FFV just misses out on the top 5. Now if I were to rank the worst of all time (from ones I have played).
1. FFXI
2. FFXII
3. FFX-2: Opening credits say it all
4. FFXIII-2: Time travel is a story crutch which IMO ruins everything it touches.
5. FFXIII
I do have a little preference of trophies over achievements. But to be honest I got a little too focused on them rather than the game.
Going back to games before these systems of essentially proof of bragging rights came along allowed me to better appreciate and play the game whichever way I chose.
I did get a little addicted but broke from the cycle, it won't stop me from trying something different regardless if its an easy plat/achievement or not though...
I really would like Dark Cloud to come back, starting with a collection re-release (never had a chance to play the second game).
The big issue with his though is that its anti-competitive the prices are set at the will of the publisher and consumers are bled dry, you can see that happen when full games come on the stores at the moment.
It would effectively kill off the gaming with friends culture that I grew up in, taking a game around to your friends and having a blast just wouldn't happen, at best you would be at the mercy of downloading when you get there.
Yeah you say online pl...
That made me laugh, watching the conference it feels like it rings true.
Shocked, but I have been waiting for another one to make an appearance, about time :)
Will Sony have a few surprises for E3? The optimist in me says they may have something yes.
Hopefully with all the announcements there will be a lot to show of these games at E3.
I don't think this is a bad idea, early coverage of what they are releasing, lets be honest people will want to know more and it will pull crowds to Sony.
If Sony reps said nothing at all leading up to the event people would just flip it and say that Sony has not...
Actually thought that myself, the game seems to steer away from the fun factor more with each game, when I go back to the likes of Vice City or GTA London its there.
First time I played a Saints Row game last week and I immediately said, yes this is the fun factor GTA just doesn't seem to provide anymore.
I didn't cry but I do think that the right music at a pivotol moment such as her death, or for example in FFIX on the cargo ship where Black Waltz #3 tore into Vivis emotions, sets the whole thing of you feel for the moment and like Vivi, ready to kick some ass.
The JRPGs in general do it well and its one reason I don't like playing music when I do play these games.
Aeriths death was necessary from a plot pov. Up until that point there was no actual, ...
Even if there was a point to be made those who wanted it to stay the same simply don't have to touch the DLC, those who wanted a new ending well you got a clarification to appease that.
To expect an entirely new ending because you didn't like it is silly. Hell I hate the ending to FFXIII-2 but I don't expect them to go back and change it for me.
A fan myself of the older JRPGs as much as I complain that Square has moved on with the way they make games I cannot complain too much about changing the style.
I think that maybe I wouldn't be satisfied with turn based combat anymore I do like a faster pace of combat because truly I play the games for the story not the random battles.
It's hard to be disappointed in a game that I still know very little about which is really frustrating since its been left in the dark since its announcement.
Right now I have no expectation of the game but given the current run of releases from Square Enix on the FF front they have already managed to lower the bar significantly on what to expect IMO.
Have to say no too, if you release a game, you have to accept the criticisms as is of release, it doesn't matter if there was a day 1 patch to fix most of what was wrong, fact is the game wasnt ready if you had to do that.
But thats publishers for you.
If people don't care what anon think then why does this stuff get approved?
If anon wants to distance themselves from this then its simple, just shut up about the damn thing leave Sony and us gamers alone.
You assume it will manage that, if people knew it was online again and Sony didn't do enough to prepare, it could crush under pressure of everyone just trying to change their password.
Yeah, sort of a Fail response imo.
No they will just post your personal information worldwide so you become a bigger target of phishing scams etc.
Thats not helpful.
As long as they get enough time given I am all for it. The amount of unused content in KOTOR II disk when you see the list is ridiculous, the only reason I even got to play that is due to dedicated groups who restored the content.
