Crappy phone games does not have the depth and volume of content as a dedicated handheld gaming device does. And of course... buttons. Good luck with serious precision on your touch screens. Smart phones are jack of all trade nowadays. But the ace is still a dedicated device.
I personally hate touch screen. It pisses me off so much with the accuracy rate I get even for simple text input.
I have gaming PC, PS3, and 360. However, I am far from neutral. My preferences are PC>PS3>360.
The 360 is redundant to me since I either play multipat on PC or exclusives on PS3. If you want MGS4 on 360 for example, how many disc will that take? 4?! Or you will have ridiculously huge installation. Of course there will be some compromise made for 360 to accommodates such a huge game. And of course, compromises usually hurt franchises. I will be surprised if MGS:Ground Zeroes end up smaller than MGS4.
I think an all star fighting game would not fit 360 image so well. An all star shootout, that would be better. I am not making fun of MS either. Mods can extend the life of a game for years and years. I still go back to HL2 now and then and look for mods that pops up along the way.
Mods negate the needs for paid DLC, and of course a lot of sheep will buy DLCs on consoles. Like map packs... a ridiculous way to dime and penny your customers and fans. Not to mention cut the player population into haves and have nots.

I agree that subscription is a better model. Buying power is always an issue. Having a subscription means that GM support and rules enforcement are usually much better than those F2P MMOs. I tried playing a F2P with cashshop, there were bots spamming everywhere. In addition to rich kids with all the powerful stuff from the cash shop.
