Sony chose to fight it out in court instead of settling like MS did which is why we didn't have rumble. Seriously, that's one of the things that kinda pissed me off at first but eh, what was I to do. Ps3 games were still great.
Gameplay is really important but look at it this way, if graphics and tech didn't matter why the hell would we upgrading systems ever few years? If gameplay was all that mattered, we'd still be playing on our old NESs.
I love Gears and I even prefer Forza over GT this gen (not afraid to admit it) but even I will tell you that there's no way. Gears 3 looks just slightly updated from Gears 2 and Forza 4 just looks like a slightly updated Forza 3. That compared to PS3 powerhouses like KZ and UC, yea not even a comparison. Ps3 wins hands down.
Which is why he said according to the media that has actually seen both and according to his own personal experience (particularly with RAGE).
Yep, people seem to forget there's TWICE as many 360s in NA than PS3s. It's really dumb especially when people bash PS3 games for selling less (completely ignoring the massive 360 lead in NA).
@Darthv
I get what you're saying, but comparing the 360 to the PS2 is laughable. The PS2 sold way, way more, was completely synonymous with gaming in general and had tons of exclusives. The 360 sells great but that's where the similarities end.
...
What more do you want? They already have a great price, tons of game, great online, bluray, etc, etc.
I don't mean to sound like a troll, but Americans seem to respond only to brainwashing ads. They'll buy whatever is "in" even it's crap. It's really sad and I'm American as well.
I mean, just look at Japan and Europe, even though MS has tried so hard and put so much effort into those regions, the PS3 still outsells it based purel...
I bet it'll be dlc. After all, this is capcom.
I'm comfortable with both controllers so I guess I'm lucky, haha. I like the DS3 for what it is and it's what I've been playing with for the last 14 years or so. The 360 controller is also really great, especially for shooters.
Sorry, but they had it coming. And if they plan on continuing their piss poor strategies I hope they do go out of business before they drag good ol' Square's name even further down.
Can't wait to get my hands on it!
Pretty good coming from Eurogamer, haha.
haha, yea man, CS is timeless.
The thing about casuals is.. they are quick to jump ship when the next fad comes along. The core will support a game no matter what (as long as it's good of course) but casuals will just leave to whatever else is popular.
I'm pretty sure that after MW3 (which is supposed to wrap things up), the COD series will start cooling off. Then again, you never know.
ME is great and I love it, but it's really sad to see how the RPG elements seem get washed down more and more. ME2 really felt like a TPS with some RPG elements unlike ME which was an RPG with shooting elements. Now it seems ME3 is getting even more... how can I describe it... casual I guess. I just wish they would add and focus on the RPG side of things.
Unless Co-op is separate from the story, it really makes no sense to me. ME is an SP game at heart.
EA and SONY have been enjoying a very good partnership lately. It just like seeing all the MW3 360 ads.
If you're friends are on XBL and you have Gold, just buy it on 360. Multi is miles better when you have friends to play it with.
As Aviator said, there's TWICE as many 360s in NA as Ps3s so I don't get how this is surprising. If you have twice as much as something else OF COURSE it'll sell more. LOL.
Besides, I'm not trying to start a flame war or anything, but 360 gamers are known to rush out and buy games whereas on PS3, games will sell well over a longer period.
Mostly just Halo cause GT5 outsold all other 360 exclusives so far (I believe it'll even pass Reach). Other than Halo, 360 and PS3 games sell roughly the same.
Exactly, if Gears sold 10 copies it wouldn't affect it's quality, it would still be great, same as if UC3 sold 20 million copies it would still be the same great game.
Besides, Gears 2 sold less than a million more than UC2 (iirc) so what's the big deal? Gears 3 will probably sell around 6.4 million lifetime and UC3 will sell about 5.5 million (roughly following the trend of the previous games).
I don't know man, personally I think rumble adds a lot to the game. Makes you feel like you're more immersed esp. in shooters.
