The wii, though heavily casual, also has quite a few great games. It's worth the investment for any serious gamer and I'd recommend it. You can't say you're a gamer and be taken seriously if you haven't played certain GOTY quality titles like SMG on the Wii and UC2, MGS4, and LBP on PS3. It's part of gaming culture. That why, imo, people should at the very least own a PS3 and Wii.

Yea, I remember back when the gen started, MS had a bunch of exclusives constantly coming, I loved my 360, but then, it just stopped and now all they care about is Kinect and casuals. Same thing with Nintendo except at least with the Wii we knew what was coming.
As long as SONY keeps on giving us quality games, I'll be happy, but casuals are ruining gaming imo.
A tie between the HD consoles cause Nintendo is waaayyy ahead. Kinda surprising since the 360 was actually cheaper than the Wii for quite a while (the 360 arcade released years ago).
There's not really a war anymore though. I mean, MS will always outdo the PS3 in NA, while the PS3 will outdo the 360 WW, in the end the PS3 will sell more per year than the 360 and that's pretty much it. It's been that way for the last 3 or 4 years.
Americans are really susceptible to advertising and following trends. That's why MS was able to get them all in row, very good job if I say so myself. They made all the right moves (even if a lot of those moves were somewhat controversial in the "gaming world").
NA is BY FAR the PS3's weakest territory so with that in mind it did great! Congrats to SONY. I'm a dual console owner myself and I'm pretty pissed that MS has decided to completely abandoned the core audience that got them to where they are.

PS3 leads in Europe (which includes the UK) by over 2 million and the Japan lead is even bigger. The Ps3 has outsold the EVERY year WW for the last THREE YEARS. Please, think before you write misinformed statements.

SONY needs to release the Vita asap in Japan before Nintendo makes more gains. I'm pretty certain Japan will choose the vita over the 3DS.
And this is why I will refused to buy the 3DS at launch. Anyways, I think the problem that the 3DS and Wii U are facing is that, while Nintendo wanted to milk the brand name, people will think that it's just an add on or a slight upgrade.

I have to agree with that. I thoroughly enjoyed KZ3, but it could have been much better especially after KZ2's ending.
A lot of young gamers this generation have the notion that anything below a 90 is crap. That's just sad. I'll bet WANNGETHIGH started gaming this gen, probably on the 360 and I'd also say he's probably in early adolescence given the way he writes and he's username.

I'm honestly surprised Nintendo is struggling so much. It's seems the stage is set for SONY to swoop in. Seriously, if SONY doesn't take full advantage of the situation, they'll be loosing big time. This might be the first gen Nintendo actually looses a handheld "war." Especially with COD coming to Vita with full online capabilities (or so I've heard).
