I disagree. I think it was a different experience overall, and was a nice change of pace from the constant military dude bro games we get. Is it perfect? Hell no. But I still think it's a valiant first effort.
Personally I think the problem is that everyone expected L.A Noire to be a RDR 2.0 type of game. When it was a much different experience.
I don't see why not. We know Sony will be there, and we'll probably see David Cage's next project, as well as other new ips from sony first party studios.
Microsoft just continues the same trend...sequels, or kinect..or in this case nothing.
Oh, so no mindblowing kinect announcement?
Or no Halo 5, or 6 announcements?
Jak and Daxter will also see a HD re-release down the road, I'm sure of it. Battlefront...yeah I don't know...Bully has 360/PS3 version...Black nope...
But yeah...
More than likely there'll be HD re-releases...so I wouldn't buy a ps2 just yet.
@Louis Guzman?
Have you seen the screenshots? It's a bladerunner esqe cyberpunk sci-fi game. You've got to be kidding me when saying it's like every other game out there, because that's plain foolish.
how does this look generic?
looks awesome. glad to see a new ip as well.
So are you still interested in COD 29?
you guys are impossible to please. A few screenshots, and your ALREADY writing this one off.
It's a new ip, that seems quite different. I'm happy it's not COD 29, or whatever sequel we constantly get, and it's not a game about some generic bald space marine.
It looks different, it looks unique, I say it has potential.
Actually hear in Poland it won quite a few goty awards from "unreputable magazines"
The sad fact is that it DID win awards....considering it was released LAST year in 2010 in europe.
First off it's a marketing ploy. When you slap on GOTY Edition, people who have reservations on whether this game is good or not would know it has merit for playing.
Secondly. Whose to say it's not a goty? Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it is. It's not my goty, nor will it ever be. That said I'm sure there are people out there that really enjoyed this game, because in all honestly it's a pretty solid game. If someone thinks it's goty, then aw...
So is this ubisoft subtly confirming that there is indeed a new Rainbow 6 game in development?
I would say so. Don't know why either. It's clear Sony shows desire for new ip's, and new ip support. Yet with Microsoft there's a very heavy hesitation shown.
It's almost as if there going the safe route, and less of the risky/taking chances/trying new and unnattempted things/ route.
Sort of sad.
Well it's my goty.
I think it's a great game. I'm one of those people who love cinematic experiences in games. I could see why some people were turned off by it, but I loved every minute of it.
Err, why? The 360 has sold 600k units. They have kinect, Sony has the move. None of them have gone out and said "yeah the next gen is coming soon."
Hell this always happens. In 2009 they predicted we would have new consoles by 2011.
I say 2014, 2015 at this rate.
As much as I went a sequel to Red Dead, I've heard that Rockstar Sandiego are working on a new ip. One rumor says it's a war game, another says it's a pirate themed game.
Though, whatever there next project it is I'll be there day one.
Is this due out next year?
I like it, it's basically an inglorious bastards videogame. No one really wanted another ww2 shooter anyway.
No offense but just because some gives it a 9 or 10 doesn't make them wrong. I personally liked it because of how cinematic it was, how story driven it was, how atmospheric it was at times. It was a nice change of pace...
You say there's little replay value..well you CAN replay the cases again to get a perfect case rating, and if you chose to skip the side missions (which I did), you can do those.
Your say it's dumbed down? Well you had the option...
