Your mother looks like dlc...:/
No offense but if you hate COD then why are you in this topic, posting your paticular comment? Let the cod fans be...they're not BOTHERING you, are they?
I told myself I wouldn't get hyped...I couldn't help it...
This is in my top 10 for next year. can't wait.
No offense but some of you guys get WAY bent out of shape over a review score.
It's just another persons opinion. That's all. If you disagree with the score then that's perfectly fine. But to say he's a hater, or a troll makes you look sillier than the reviewer.
Because Bioshock 2 proved that rapture lost much of it's magic.
Going to a new place reinstalls that once "magical" feeling that gamers had when they met Rapture for the first time.
Because of sales. If it was simply called Infinite, or some other title people would look at it as a new ip (which it is), and be cautious as to wether they should buy it or not. But when they drr Bioshock next to Infinite they think "Hmm this is probably related to Bioshock in some form or fashion." An those same cautious people are now buyers.
So basically it's a marketing gimmick. Same reason why Grand Theft Auto is called Grand Theft Auto, and not something...
@trounbyfire
Weak year? Are you kidding me?
There's still SO many goty contenders left that your statement could be considered sarcastic...
I mean there's still;
Infamous 2
Dead Island
Batman Arkham City
Deus Ex: Human Revoloution
RAGE
Dark Souls
Skyrim
Modern Warfare 3
Battlefield 3
Uncharted 3
Tomb Raider
To call this ...
Um if Heavy Rain won goty (by many outlets), and is just AS flawed if not MORE SO than L.A Noire, then I don't see why it couldn't.....>.>
No offense but that's your OPINION. Just how reviews are other people's OPINIONS.
Personally I think it's a great game. Flawed? Oh, defintly. But I think it's the fact that I can boldly say that I've yet to ever play a game like this, ever, means a lot to me. In an industry where risk is rarely taken, and fps rule the plateu it's nice to see a game like L.A Noire be released.
Defintly a "Diamond in the rough" in my eyes. Fla...
No more flawed than Alan Wake, or Heavy Rain was.
I really think it's extremely difficult to make a game as AMBITIOUS as L.A Noire, and not have flaws.
Every BIG series had flaws in it's first title.
Uncharted, Indigo Prophecy, Assassins Creed, are just a few games that are a good example of games that were GOOD, but marred with flaws. The sequel, or the next title from the same dev just got better and better.
I se...
Haters gonna hate. You haven't seen anything, and is already calling it a failure....go home son, go home.
At the end of the day I still say we have a bit to go.
That said L.A Noire is a game that really creates a fine line between cinema, and video games. It literarlly feels as if your in this blockbuster detective film.
The story, while awesome, still isn't there yet in terms of where oscar films, and pultizer prized books are.
But L.A Noire is a huge step forward....HUGE step.
I can only imagine if David Cage, and Team ...
lol, you do realize rockstar games have never been about the graphics....
An plus no one said the graphics look better than KZ3, or GoW3...you did...for some strange reason....
Are you serious?
L.A Noire has a mesh of actors from Mad Men, Heros, Fringe, and many others and you call that low budget?
ugh...
I think at the end of the day L.A Noire is flawed. There are many, and I mean MANY things that can easily be fixed in a sequel, or in a new installment (NY Noire anyone?). That said as flawed as it is, it's brilliant.
In a genre where nobody is even BOTHERING (excepet for a few devs here and there) to be innovative, we get L.A Noire. Regardless of how good, or bad it is, the developers took a risk that most developers would scoff at in a minute.

You must be the person who loves box art like this;

Yup. I would best describe it as a Open World Heavy Rain with elements of Phoenix Wright.
People who thinks this is just a reskinned GTA or RDR but just in the 40's will probably hate the game in the 1st 5 minutes.
Wat!? You gotta be kidding me :/
Portal 2 has a metacritc rating of 95. User score average is 8.3
Bioshock has a metacritc score of 96. User score average is a 8.0
Red Dead Redemption has a metacritic of 95. User score is 8.3
Seriously user score means NOTHING. Seriously people hand out 1's because they feel like it, while other people give out 10's from playing just the 1st 20 minutes. It's a joke.
You do realize this so called "exclusive" is nothing more than an arcade title? Nothing really major to be honest.
