The beta was delayed because of performance issues, but I believe that's sorted out now. Now they're working on balance, and when they feel that it's good enough, they'll release the beta.

Yeah... striving to be a pro gamer is not a good career choice. Only a very small amount of people are paid enough to make a living off of gaming; most people end up failing and wasting a ton of time.

I don't think anybody's arguing that the keyboard and mouse isn't better. It's obviously the best input method.
What Foxgod is saying is that, if you want to use your gamepad, there are third-party tools out there that will let you use your gamepad with ANY game, even those without official support.
Huh? All the special edition is is a fancy box with some slips of artwork.
Simply the fact that the voice of Duke Nukem does the voice for this game makes it amazing.

atwon23, no, you haven't been robbed. You can only blame yourself for not waiting if you bought an item at a store and it dropped in price a few days later.
EA discount makes it roughly the same price. The discount for EA employees is like $25 on new games.
Funny thing is, they layer on this DRM on the PC version, but the console version has been released to pirates since a couple days ago and is one of the top game downloads.
The main build actually has many of the bugs already fixed. The beta build we're playing right now is a fair bit older than what will be released on launch. Things like the server browser have been optimized and fixed and there are gameplay changes such as the amount of C4 needed to destroy a crate.
All PC games support Xbox 360 controllers if you use a mapping program like Pinnacle Game Profiler.

Damage is being tweaked for the retail version. Bullets will do more damage.
I was sent a survey a couple years ago asking about a possible Black sequel. I think it might happen.
