You can't expect too much out of small studios.
Also, they probably made it a greater priority to have the game run well on a variety of machines rather than have the game look amazing.
OH MY GOD, AN OFFICIAL WALLPAPER! STOP THE PRESSES!
Disappointingly low-res. The full size screenshot is no larger than the regular size. :(
The graphics do look beautiful, though. Nice lighting, textures, character models, and all that good stuff.
Okay, this article's title is ridiculously long.
StarCraft II to be sold cheaper in Russia but with limited multiplayer
http://news.bigdownload.com...
"According to StarCraftwire.net, Russians will be able buy a DVD version of the game for about half the price of the regular European version. Another version will be sold in a jewel case only for an even lower price. Both versions wil...
Liberty City Stories just came out for PC and PS3.
Difference is that Dragon Age started out as a PC exclusive. There are a lot of gameplay differences between Dragon Age PC and Dragon Age consoles.
Needs more rain.
There are actually pictures on the Internet that disprove that rumor...
Crytek had an event today in New York where they showed off the Xbox 360 version of Crysis 2, so it's probably from the Xbox 360.
Crysis 2 should look better than Crysis 1 on PC. They're implementing a lot of new tech.
The console versions of Crysis 2 will obviously look outdated, though.
I wouldn't be surprised if console games go to $70 and PC games go to $60. One reason is, as games get more complex in both art and design, dev teams need to be larger with more artists and programmers, and that consequently results in higher development costs.
Crysis sold 3 million copies. Crytek made a profit.
The reason why Crysis 2 is going to consoles is because Cevat Yerli is greedy, to be totally honest. He wants Call of Duty-level sales -- like 7 million and more copies.
Apple vs. HTC, Google, Microsoft, Nokia, Nintendo, and Sony.
Thanks! I got a beta key.
So Day 1 Studios is developing FEAR 3?
This gives me hope that Monolith is working on a NOLF sequel!
The big publishers will be likely be raising their prices too eventually -- next 1-2 years, I'd say. Development costs for games keep on rising so they're going to need to raise their prices. The same thing happens in the movie theatre business. A 3D movie can cost as high as $20 nowadays.
The campaign in SC2 is the same length as StarCraft's. I don't see where people are getting "1/3 of a game" from.
Also, the expansion packs will be priced as expansion packs. Blizzard confirmed this in one of their interviews.
Well, there is inflation. Console games will probably go to $70 next generation while $60 becomes the norm for PC games.
