The biggest difference is in the shadows.

Like in Bad Company 2, DX11 uses a superior shadow algorithm.

Valve typically unlocks things at 10 AM when they have employees in the building. EA gives them the date, Valve chooses the time.

News flash: more processing power allows you to play at higher resolutions.

Dolphin is really cool. It runs the game natively at the chosen resolution, so you can play in 1080p or even 2560x1600.

If we're talking about the game that invented the first-person shooter genre, that would be Maze War.

If we're talking about the game that made the genre mainstream, that would be Wolfenstein 3D.

This website tracks public servers for games. So it doesn't account for private servers or LANs.

If you add in CS: Source, that's close to 2 million players.

At least 1 million unique players plays Counter-Strike in a 24-hour period, and that's not even counting cyber cafes.

So you would prefer that StarCraft 2 be nothing like the old one? What is Halo 2 compared to Halo 1 or Gears of War 2 to Gears of War 1? They're sequels, but they still play similarly to the previous games in order to maintain the same identity. If they wanted to create a brand new gameplay experience, they would have created a new IP.

The reviews I've watched say that the massive numbers of characters are relegated to the cutscenes. The battles in Halo Reach are about the same size as previous Halo games in regards to the number of AI, maybe a bit bigger.

All platforms have their ups and downs. PC gaming may be my favorite, but I play all platforms -- PS3, 360, Wii -- because I like to play games.

They said that they have a small number of people who will work on Halo Reach patches and content.

Valve only have 10 people working on the TF2 updates and they churned out a bunch of content over the past 3 years.

No, they have to create a new engine because their games will be multiplatform now (360, PS3, PC) and they need new tools to easily get the games up and running on all three.

If you mean the TOP LEFT, then that writing is just messages being displayed because his hack is trying to input invalid values.

Most computers do this. If the temperature gets too high, the computer will reboot or shutdown to avoid damage.
