Yeah, that's what happens when your generation lasts 3 years longer than it normally does. Thank god we're finally done with it because the graphics/framerate balance on last gen was starting to get REALLY BAD.
"You can't cram the horsepower of a console in a handheld"
Nvidia's Shield and the Vita would like to disagree.
You want to hear the crowd goes nuts over Nintendo this year? Just look up "Smash Bros Invitational Tournament" on Youtube. And we'll see how nuts they get.
Basically. Instead of 3000 handpicked press memebers(Who may or may not have been bought out) we get 3000 fans who care about the game more than anything. And word of mouth carried out be 3000 fans about how good an upcoming game is has ALWAYS sold more than a two-page article about a game.
That "souped up GameCube" will be running the first Bayonetta at 1080p 60fps with dual-audio while the 360 and PS3 never achieved that(360 got close but has awful screen tearing). All that AND Bayonetta 2 is on the same disc. That doesn't sound like something to be forgotten.
Just because it doesn't have twitch doesn't mean it should be tossed aside. In fact, anyone who even suggests that notion is a complete fool. twitch streaming is a bonus for consoles. Not a ...
Yeah, seriously. They say "100 hours is a speedrun" I say "Challenge accepted!"
You're logic is flawed to hell.
Ruby and Sapphire introduced double battles to the series. So should the Gold/Silver remakes not have double battles? After all, they take place BEFORE the events of Ruby and Sapphire. And in Ruby and Sapphire double battles were "just invented"
Yeah, anyone could say that about a project that barely has a playable demo. I'm not sure if you've ever seen a game in early/pre-alpha stages but it NEVER looks good. Your point is moot.
Comments like the one's you've posted in this thread are the reason why I wish I could bubble down for "Unintelligent/Uninformed "
LOL you mean the standard that Sony set AFTER this game was being developed. This game started as soon as Skyward Sword was released. Two years before PS4 was even announced. So really, if you think about it. Nintendo is setting the standard here.
Screenshots don't lie. You'd be able to tell if a screenshot was upscaled. And in the past, Mario Kart 8's screenshots were 720p revealing it's upscaled nature. So I think we can trust Nintendo's screenshots to be their genuine resolution.
How many games from last gen do native 1080p? That's what I thought.
Do you know how difficult it is for an orphan peasant to earn the privilege of fornicating with a princess? Short Answer: Really difficult
Which Nintendo has been doing a lot of wink wink nudge nudge with that. Ending the Bayonetta 2 trailer with the Samus costume. Samus is front and center on the Smash Bros Wii U cover. Sakurai went out of his way to say that Samus is the most powerful character in Smash according to the dev team. I would honestly expect at least a teaser trailer before tomorrow is over.
I don't know, Microsoft putting Halo 1-4 remastered and on a single disc was a pretty genius move to me.
And Sony having the spiritual successor to Dark Souls is definitely enticing.
But, in the end. Nintendo had the most "great"(Subject to opinion) games this year. And a good number of Nintendo's games are actually being released this year and aren't being pushed back to 2015. So we get a few games this year, and a few next year. Instead of so many games...
You have to remember though that Zelda games tend to be sub 20-hour games and Xenoblade Chronicles was a 50+ hour game. So you know where your graphics are going.
Yeah, Smash Bros Brawl, revealed two years before it's release date and it looked ALOT like it's first trailer. Unlike a certain new game that gave up it's target graphics to whore itself out to the next-gen consoles.
Or Smash Bros finally getting a release date. September 13th for Japan.
If it's TIME magazine it's not a rumor.
That's both true and false. In Japan they were still supporting it for more than five years. Meanwhile in every other country it faded away. Same with PS2. Sony kept supporting it and it was sold for longer in the west than PSX. But it still went away in the west before it stopped in Japan.
