The Vita is rocking sales right now. It hasn't dipped below 15k(Japan) for weeks now.
Well I know I'll be buying a Vita- excuse me. PLAYSTATION, TV sometime next year. Vita has some quality animu games that spark my interest.
Wii U has been outselling PS4 most weeks. That's what people are pointing out. Not to mention Nintendo makes money off of hardware sales and Sony doesn't. So even lackluster sales are profitable for Nintendo. While Sony has to deal with selling short, and selling at a loss.
Or people should wise the fuck up and realize that tech demos are just that; Tech demos. I doubt any UE4 games on PS4 will look ANYTHING close to the tech demo that was shown off.
Why? The actually engine shown at E3 has:
Better Geometry on Link and the environment
Better water
Better lighting
But I'm going to guess you only care about photo realistic graphics that don't age well.
Could say the same for PS4 and Xbone. At least Nintendo isn't delaying every other game until 2015.
These losses are less than their last set of losses and this is the first time they're encountering losses in over a decade.

The failure rate of video game kickstarters is very low. Less than 5% of video game kickstarters end up in failure.

The problem with your argument is that a Ferrari doesn't take just one or two months to save up money for. A Wii U does. It's easy to say "I intend to buy this product" when it's $300 or less in most situations.
