Yeah its doing very very well.
If my math is right the worldwide sales figures for this WEEK ALONE is 200,000. Thats very very good
the price cut is MS attempt to stay competitive in Europe, there was never any doubt. If anything its a sign that the tide is turning.
wow, vgcharts isnt the most accurate but it is still impressive that the PS3 is outselling the wii in europe. I guess the most impressive thing is that there were no major releases to speak of.
so you saw a trailer? Do tell! it looked pretty far along?
On a side note:
I dont see you on these boards much anymore what have you been up to?
lol they cut their price because they are getting spanked in Europe. So how does this mean that they are going for the throat?
this is a fake.
1. It wont look as good as the trailer.
2. This means the release date is further off than I had hoped.
it sounds like the trailer is going to be all CG... that sucks.
Couldnt have said it better myself.
There is a 0% chance that the major movie publishers switch from bluray to this format.
Well maybe if they actually made an effort to make Madden a better game people wouldnt hate it so much. They should be making football games that look better than MLB:08 but they arent because they dont have to. Madden games look like crap, they dont play the best and they need an overhaul and bad. I think they are using the same lighting engine from last generation.
MS isnt going to constrain supplies because it was coming out with a new SKU. Thats such an idiotic business move and it doesnt make any sense at all. You dont cut production if there is demand. You produce them as usual and cut the price a little to get rid of them. Either that or you have the retailers send them back to be modified and returned as a new SKU. What you dont do is take your fricken product away from the consumer.
MS knows this.

If they are to pass the 360 this year they do need to do better in NA. But given no major exclusives have hit since Uncharted they are doing pretty good. Sony should be aiming for 2:1, I agree. We shall see how well MGS:4 sells in Japan. I dont think it will move the massive amounts of consoles here in the states but it is just another reason to pick up a PS3. I also think that Sony will drop its price by 100 bucks by the end of the year.
A 299-399 ps3 would do the trick...
I guess I should ask, what do you mean by close? Worldwide figures are hard to calculate until the end of the year. But the european and the japanese figures is what pulled the ps3 over the 360 last year.
MS DESTROYED the ps3 last year in the US. Considering the numbers last year in the US, Sony should be pretty happy at the moment. Remember none of their cross system franchises have hit (with the exception of R&C).
The only place where this console race...
lol... information bad!
not even close.
supply constraint is an excuse. Why, in the third year of production is MS meeting supply problems? They only sold 7 million units last year so why would they be meeting supply issues? Quick answer: they arent.
Time and time again consumers choose to spend more money on quality products rather than spend less on a lesser quality product.
Now before everyone gets their panties in a bunch, I am not calling the 360 a lesser quality product: let me explain.
The price of a product is only as good as its perceived value. Sometimes cutting the price of a peice of hardware can even be a bad thing in the consumers eyes. Its a tricky proposition. Consumers can say a lot of th...
"There isn’t even the choice as to when to do any of the songs, because if you don’t do them to the beat you will lose your bonuses and become weaker."
Its a rhythm/action/strategy game... what did this guy expect?
lol i never noticed that one... I wonder what it is, anyone know?
