i expect that statement for most implimentations this generation. I am almost positive it will be mandatory next generation but I doubt sony will throw certain developers under the bus by making them do it without the proper tools. Next gen it will be mandatory though.
sony is just starting to release its new innovative IP's. This is just the tip of the iceburg. THey have set themselves up well for this generation and even better for next gen. All they need to do is lower the costs of the ps3 and they will fly off the shelves.
Yeah, I expected mid-9's for this game. For all that it is doing a 9.5 is a miracle. Games and genre's that have been refined for 2 generations of console gaming are lucky to get a 9.5. It is a miracle for all that it does and all that it innovates that it makes it to a 9.5. Bravo MM.
i still have a hard time believing that Eurogamer gave Halo3 a 10. That has perminently put a black eye on their reviews. (IMHO)
I simply disagree with Eurogamer when they say that MM should have limited the creation part of the game to one plane. That would simply flaw the user-generated content for the rest of the games existence.
It would have simply destroyed two-thirds of this game. I must also disagree with their assessment of the respawning system. Its simply the best solution.

It definitely doesnt take 45 minutes to find an awesome level. More like 5-10 for me. This guy cant read or what? The descriptions on the levels are pretty spot on most of the time.
I agree some people will be let down.
However, I thought I had impossible expectations for this title but being in the beta confirmed that my expectations were founded.
If this game doesnt sell systems nothing will. Its a system seller if I have ever seen one. Its too diverse, genius, and available for it not to be. Anyone can have fun playing this game.

I am in the BETA and I can tell you that it exceeds the hype around it, which I considered impossible.
This is a generation defining game and by that I mean for ALL consoles. Its seriously genius, amazing, and brilliant all rolled into a cute package.
so, with millions of copies that are going to be sold, how much awesomeness will be created? Seriously, with something like 70-80 thousand people we saw enough created content to last a lifetime. 4-5 million people creating stuff will be simply amazing.
