Correct. If someone wants a ps3 they will buy one, whether it be a 40 60 or 80 gig ps3. they will get the one they can afford. All they need to do is get this to the states and japan.
If people are looking into products this much they are most likely going to buy one. They simply arent going to say "there are too many choices, I will not buy one." Thats stupid. Confusion? maybe a little. Will it effect sales? Not on a large enough scale to really worry about. Its not like the 360 is any less confusing.

Well, Lair deserved that score. I dont really see this game getting low scores. Everyone was on the fence about LAIR and the game failed terribly. The 4.9 was deserved imo.
well, it doesnt really matter what MS does, sure they will get more sales but everyone and their dog was waiting for a major PS3 price cut. All of the above is great and all but a 299 euro PS3 will dominate in europe.
well those unlockables are awesome, but i hope there are a few weapons to unlock and plenty of new difficulty settings to try the game out. I really dont get that much replayability out of trying to unlock behind the scenes movies. But anything that will add to the gameplay will be awesome and welcome in a single player only game.
This is looking like the PS3 game of the year. Its beautiful, well put together and now replayability is starting to show its head. Awesome.

tell you the truth, fanboys dont buy consoles, they complain about other consoles. People will buy this cheaper model because its cheap. BC, as this gen moves on grows less and less important.
I guess I cant really say that he is right or wrong, however, if they save a substantial amount of money by excluding BC then I agree with him, if it's not that much money and they are cutting corners than this is just a PR stunt.
Either way BC is gone, live with it or buy the 60 or 80 gig. A 299 PS3 is a steal anyway, enjoy.

Tell you the truth the deeper we get into this gen the less important BC becomes. I dont play ps2 games on my ps3 anymore, I did, but now that there are quality titles out I dont even bother. Its a nice feature, but not a necessity.

Steering the dragon was easy and fun, however, the rest of the gameplay was terrible imo.
Tell me again how they are "kicking the crap" out of anything. How many units has the 360 sold? MS has NEVER made a dime in the console business NEVER. They lost 4 billion on the original xbox and they are losing money on the 360. Sony isnt doing any better so far this gen, they are bleeding money like its their job, but at least they will stick around to make a profit.
