That about sums it up. Although I have had one since '07 and enjoyed many a blu-ray movies on it and enjoyed resistance, motorstorm, warhawk and now HS I feel as though christmas of next year is really when the console will shine. So it is a good investment in future gaming, as of right now? I dont know... although its worth it to me, the masses may think otherwise.
Absolutely. I couldnt agree more. I wouldnt have traded this year for a 200 dollar price slash. I enjoyed the games that were out and it seems as though it was worth the extra money.

I agree with you completely. The Wii will take #1 this winter, the 360 second and the ps3 third. I still think each console needs to be 2 years into its existence before we can start getting a feel for how this console war will end up. So hold your breath boys and girls because this winter will be huge for us all! Next winter we may have some answers to all of the questions that are abound now.

Hmm.. uxo are you talking to me? I never said that these titles were going to kick the sh!t out of anything. My entire post was about having to wait for good games and having to wait for technology to become cheaper. I am not a hardcore sony fanboy, i am a realist. I enjoy gaming and this isnt my first generation.

I was speaking generally about the issue of judging the PS3 too early. The article itself doesnt say anything about the ps3 being "doomed" but he too is stating that there is a problem with judging consoles too early. So no, Im not defensive I am just annoyed at the same arguments recycled over and over again.

It does take a year or longer to get the truly great games out on any system. PS3 is no different. They have KZ2 (an unproven franchise, but one that looks promising as of now), LBP (a new and innovative title), MGS (nuff said), GT (no intro needed), and FF (duh!) next year.
There are nay sayers EVERY generation and in the last three generations they always complain about the same 3 things:
1. The disk format

399 would help the PS3, yes. Save it? I still think its way too early to say its truly in trouble. Get back to me next winter when kZ2, MGS, FF, GT and LBP are out and then I can truly say if the PS3 is in trouble. lol.... I would rather play warhawk with no stats then go back to resistance. I have played resistance so much I will never play it again. When warhawk fixes their stats issue I will be playing the premiere online MP for any console while you will go back and buy it later on...

Motion controls werent the problem in Lair... you learn pretty quickly. it was the presentation, the haphazardly thrown together missions, and the immersion of the game SUCKED. you just follow orders in the missions and then the cutscenes do the complete opposite. It wasnt a good game because of the motion, it was a bad game because of the targeting system (it would work fine if there were 2 things onscreen at once) and the way the missions are just thrown at you with little to no thought....
I have had a hard time liking MGS until I played 2 and 3. Patience is the key with MGS. Its a beautiful game once you understand its dialogue ( and i understand how that turns people away) but I love the gameplay and the stealth involved
