This game looks pretty intense. I'm not a big fan of stressful games, but this one looks great with its vibrant colors and smooth performance. Sad to hear this is Two Tribes Games swan song, I really liked Toki Tori, but at least they're going out with a bang. Best of luck to them!
It is very challenging. That's what's so interesting about the boss battles. Your combat moves are as basic as it gets (light attack, heavy attack, dodge, and magic ability) but the mechanics that the bosses use are pretty elaborate and makes for a very challenging but exciting battle.
Wow, I'm all over this game when it drops later on today! Soundtrack is fantastic and those boss battles look intense!
It would be swell if one of those "features" would allow people with PS3 digital titles tied to their PSN to access those games via PS NOW without a subscription. Not likely, I know, but I'd be pretty happy about that!
It's nice that people can play it how they like, but I agree, it's much more rewarding if you go the stealth route first. It's far more rewarding. I'll try to clean up any other achievements I miss on a guns-blazing second play through.
Good lord, I cringe at the thought of any game that includes a puzzle that involves a crying baby! There was one in The Fall that almost drove me mad. I have no problem quoting Donald Trump here and saying "You can get the baby out of here"
I'm not as deep into it as some other people are, but I do hope that if/when I hit 20+ hours played, I hope the experience expands a little bit more and I'm rewarded for all my time gathering resources, upgrading my multi-tool and ship, and exploring alien languages thoroughly. That's my only fear, that it doesn't offer more than that, even though it's pretty addicting early on. I need something to keep me going
Yeah, pretty sure it hasn't. Though you go ahead and find it and report back...I'll wait.
Yeah, it wasn't like full on motion-sickness, just a little uneasy at first. Like you said, it's speaks volumes to how immersive the experience really was. A game like Rigs will probably be incredibly intense at first, but damn does it look fun!
Thankfully, during my demo, I did exactly that...adjusted to it. Hopefully others will be able to as well, but I'm sure there will be those who unfortunately won't be able it. It's not a perfect technology, but it's impressive none-the-less
This game looks far deeper than I expected it to be, really love the aesthetic and the combat looks pretty intense. Considering its a rogue-like game with 26 levels, I imagine the constant fear of having to start all over the further you get adds to the experience. $11.99 seems like pretty good deal for a game like this. Can't wait for Tuesday.
Inside was yet another fantastic title from Playdead, and I'm happy to see it'll be arriving on PlayStation 4 on August 23rd. I didn't think the story was as good as Limbo's (just my opinion) but everything else (presentation, audio, puzzles, ect) surpassed its predecessor. Playdead is a studio I will always support.
Ghostbusters, on the other hand, not so much. It's further proof that Activision has no shame when it comes to slapping it's name on li...
Personally, I just want a competent system that will attract many many developers to produce games for it. I know the Nintendo first-party support will be there, but honestly, does anyone look to Nintendo for third-party games anymore? When I think of Nintendo, I don't think of Assassin's Creed, Titanfall, Mass Effect, or Battlefield. Breath of the Wild looks epic and the thought of having an expansive game like that on-the-go is incredibly appealing. Thats the one glimmer of hope, is...
I really hope Yves Guillemot saying the NX will "take more casual players back to the industry" means that the NX won't ONLY target the hardcore, but also casuals. If this thing is targeting casuals specifically, Nintendo best be prepared to fall short of their projections...again. I love Nintendo's first-party games, but damn, I wan't access to 3rd party games on their console as well if I'm shelling out for it.
I'm pretty happy with all the games included though the lack of Contra is a major bummer. I like the idea of having this to introduce my son to gaming with the same games I was introduced to. Most of the games included are kid-friendly, and the idea of playing some them with him is great. But I agree, I would've spent even more money had there been the ability to download other games over time. I guess in a way they're saving me some money! Thanks?
That's pretty much how I feel about the game as well. If you can look past its shortcomings (there are a lot) it's still rather enjoyable. It reminds me of those campy sci-fi films from the 80's and 90's, bad acting, bad writing, but still enjoyable in a strange way. I'm still making my way through it and it's been interesting.
It's been a long time coming but we are under a month away from its release. Here's hoping it's able to live up to its potential.
I'm doing my best not to give in and look to forums for answers. I'm going to go through it a few more times, now that I have the spectacle of all the puzzles out of the way, and see if there are any other hints embedded throughout the world. Its obviously a very deep game, but awesome one none-the-less.
I know some shmups are difficult, but I had no idea this one featured rogue-like elements! Looks incredibly fun and challenging, while the different weapon types all seem balanced but best suited for certain situations, and the random upgrades are all appealing in their own way. I didn't expect to come away with an urge to buy this game now!
I'm definitely going to have to check this out. I loved Ren & Stimpy when I was younger, and if this game has that sort of comedy infused in it, I'm all for it!
