The ability to switch between the distinctive fighting styles during combat looks very fun. I just don't know how I'm going to get this game in with Resident Evil 7 and Gravity Rush 2 coming out and with Horizon Zero Dawn on the..er..horizon.
It delivered in every way I could've wanted it to. It's great!
I really want to respect your opinion on the matter, but without explaining why you feel this way about those games, this comes off as a troll attempt. Hopefully you'll edit your comment and list your reasons, because I find those kind of breakdowns far more appealing than just comments like "Final Fantasy and Uncharted are the two most overrated games of the year". I feel like that would give your opinion more credibility, which I'm sure you'd want as well.

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero definitely made a case for my favorite games of 2016, basically coming out of nowhere. The gameplay was fun, the characters were whacky, and all the metroidvania elements were well implemented. Really enjoyed playing it on the PlayStation Vita!
Really enjoyed this demo. It has everything you'd expect from a Platinum Games joint. The shifting from third-person to side scroller to top-down is jarring at first but it happens so seamlessly that you begin to marvel it. This game looks and runs spectacularly on a PS4 Pro. This keeps climbing my most anticipated game of 2017 list!
Had an absolute blast with this game! Took me about 8 hours to beat the game and hit 94% completion (currently at 99%). I will absolutely make a go at the Platinum, just need to plot my course for the speed run. I played it on the Vita (look and ran beautifully) but I may have to double dip for the PS4 version. The soundtrack that comes with the retail version features 30 songs so it was well worth it! Great game!
I tried The Beginning Hour demo the other day using PSVR on a PS4 Pro...it looks fantastic. Was very impressed with the visual fidelity. Haven't tried it on a base PS4 yet.
Every time I put the headset on, I experience something I haven't before. Once in awhile it's not all that good, but other times it's absolutely mind-blowing. I'm a believer as well
I really hope there is another Titanfall as this latest installment is one of my favorite experiences this year. It's the total package, featuring an exciting campaign and a very well done multiplayer suite. Hopefully EA continues to support Titanfall and puts the sequel in a better position to succeed sales-wise. Titanfall deserves its own window outside of the Fall rush of shooters.
I'm planning to check out the Pro version this week!
I went into this game with low expectations having never played the first one. However, I came away impressed by just how fun and chaotic it really is. 6 player coop, 12 maps, quite a few class types to rank up, and good overall performance. Not a bad deal for $40! Even cheaper on Steam right now! Good times
Dishonored 2 has been fantastic so far; I've been playing at Low Chaos as I try to complete the Clean Hands trophy. It's just as exciting as the first Dishonored, if not more. Playing stealthily is very rewarding.
As far as the Switch goes, I respect that Nintendo first party games are the main selling point to a majority of Nintendo adopters, but if the Switch hopes to succeed, it's going to need to have some big third-party titles on it. I really hope Nintendo...
Just picked up my 4K HDR tv this morning, I figured if I'm grabbing a PS4 Pro on Thursday, I may as well go all out for it. There's just too many hands-on impression stories (compared to the fanboys who think their pessimism is more reliable and fact) out there that are speaking very highly of the PRO and its capabilities. It doesn't help that I'm a tech whore as well.
Of course it's anti-consumer, however, Bethesda get's more breaks than any other developer in the industry. Don't me wrong, many of their games are exceptional in concept, but more often than not those very games (not all of them) are riddled with severe, game breaking bugs that never seem to affect the overall score it earns. Bethesda has been getting free passes for years, and they know it to. They know there will be some sort of uproar from gamers, but in the end, they know peo...
This looks like a mashup of Dark Souls and Brut@l. I'm not sure the visuals here are nearly as striking as Brut@l. $30 seems like a steep asking price though.
While there are still many burning questions (price, specs, battery life) surround the Switch, I think the potential that the trailer showed is incredibly appealing. If the Switch really does have all that 3rd party support they're touting (remember, Nintendo did the same thing when the Wii U was revealed), and I can play games like Skyrim (Bethesda), Destiny 2 (Activision), and another major AAA games on the go, I don't see how this thing won't be a massive success. The strangest...
I'm sure you can find a much cleaner image on one of the more pricey headsets, but PSVR delivered what I had hoped with most of its launch titles. It puts me square in the middle of a gaming universe with very effective results. I'm pumped for the future of VR!
I'm really enjoying Gears of War 4 so far, the campaign has been very entertaining thus far (almost done with Act 3), and the Horde Mode is incredibly fun and very challenging. I never played Gears of War 2 so I never experienced the Gears version of Horde mode, so I'm really happy I'm able to try it now. I have zero interest in the MP side of things, not because it's bad or anything, but because I suck something awful. I simply tip my hat to the Gears of War online players, a...
I wasn't too sure about his game but after watching this, I'm going to do my best to clear some time up to play through it. This has a serious Scorsese vibe to it based on the opening. Hopefully the story is just as good, or better, throughout!
I really dig the look of the fighting mechanics in this game; switching between different styles and being able to add new moves to each style is very appealing. Looks decent overall graphically speaking.
