Yeah but to be fair Im hearing the multiplayer beta flight thingy was really good for most people.
I've heard the problem is they're using the old server code and system that was in place for the older version.
So a heavily outdated system.

It is a good comparison because knowledge of these machines and how they store your payment information is new territory. Don't pretend like video game consoles always had this kind of thing. They did not.
You can bet your ass these parents won't let it happen again and they're fully aware that their mistake was to think that these games for children wouldn't contain gambling mechanics.

Oh believe me parents understand what they're agreeing to....but that has nothing to do with gambling mechanics existing in a rated E for everyone. Do casinos allow children inside to gamble? No...so why do games allow it.

Isn't this just part of good design? You obviously want authenticity otherwise anyone who has traveled to whichever areas are depicted would be able to tell and it would break immersion.
Just like how fallout 4 does not represent Boston at all since none of the areas are similar at all except in name and perhaps a building or 2. But it isn't insulting that it is not accurately represented.

I guarantee you that partnerships that show a record of great work being done together is equivalent to money in these talks. There's a big difference with say offering simply tons of money and resources...and offering money, resources along with a track record of great projects that both have worked in together.

Games are targeted and still treated as a children hobby. There is no cultural or logical reason to assume that payment verifications would be needed for, what many parents view as, toys for children.
The parents didn't put the MTXs in the games...EA did. The ESRB also rate these games for everyone. It shouldn't be on the parents to have to be aware that it's not actually for everyone and the game has gambling mechanics....how in the world would that not be m for mature.
It boils down to the companies and ESRB...not the parents.
There was also no MTXs like there are today so yeah....not really an issue.

Calling the existance of banjo in smash an Xbox representation when Xbox never used banjo is not the same with Tom Brady who is actually used in the new team. It would be the same only if tom Brady sit on the bench with the BUCS. And years later the BUCS claiming that Tom Brady represents their team even though he didn't play a single game...

So out of curiosity...if halo multiplayer is free....and we don't know anything about the quality or length if the campaign...is halo infinite going to be $40?
I'd much rather it be 60$ and the multiplayer be a part of it instead of free.
