Boycotting BF3 just because it doesn't release on Steam won't hurt EA. Hell, it'll give EA more proof that they should make console only games.

Nah, I'm gonna skip football games this year, cause there are too many great games coming out at the same time. I'd rather buy FIFA 13 and get the same features + a few more tweaks, because if EA are really going to drastically change FIFA 12, I don't see the next drastic change coming until FIFA 15.
If I were to buy though, I'd buy PES 2012. The previews for that game are really positive.

What newleaf said is true. Reach currently sits at 8.5 million and GT5 is 6.xx million, and Reach is still outselling GT5.
OT: I think what MS did with Crackdown, they can do with other new IP's. Introduce a new IP and put a Halo 4 beta code in there. In that way, the new IP will atleast gain recognition and get decent sales.

They might be as powerful as the 360/PS3, but you won't be seeing Crysis, Metro, Fallout and the likes releasing on mobiles, so what's the point?

I'm certainly excited for both games, but one thing's for sure, I won't be buying BF3 until MW3 releases. Up until now, I've seen hundreds of BF3 articles saying how awesome it is and only 2 or 3 saying that it's not going to be great. While it's certainly a good thing, but no game is perfect and I won't make my mind up until I actually see some true criticism for BF3, once all the hype wears down.
1. I'm not sure if MS would take the free route in the next-gen. They've been charging for online play since 10 years, why change now?
