All of what people say about dmc history and dante's appearance is irrelevant because this is a REBOOT.
People cannot seem to get this concept of what a reboot is which is why they complain about how unlike the other games it is. Why have a reboot if the characters, settings and gameplay are kept exactly the same?
Dmc needed a reboot as dmc4 was extremely mediocre and samey. The ONLY plotline that anybody ever cared about was the dante and vergil origin ...

The thing that makes no sense though is that he says that 3rd party devs have no excuse not to make multiplats for wii u, but what happens a year later when ps4/720 arrive? wont nintendo just be back in the same position as with the wii ?
Nintendo didnt even show the console. Their reveal caused more confusion than excitement. From all we learned, we basically have a bastardised psvita/ipad as a controller and the games are the usual 100 mario and zelda titles mixed in with multiplats.
Besides, by the time this comes out sony and ms are gonna be on the verge of starting next gen, making wii U irrelavant once again.

I think the game is looking pretty good imho. Obviously everyone bitching (yet again) are the bandwagon casuals who are so transfixed on dantes appearance that they ignore the gameplay, which looks solid.

Sony had the better content this year, that's why people say they won. overall though the actually delivery of the conferences was pretty bad all around.
MS - multiplat demos, more gears and halo (shocker), 95% kinect talk
SONY - game after game after game,3d tv sku, PS vita and demos
Nintendo - "hey we have a hundred more mario games for 3ds" also look at our new console..err..controller..err. .portable. No demos at all.
This is simply a tech demo. They haven't even finished skyward sword yet. This is exactly what they did with those fake gamecube zelda videos and then the actual game(windwaker) was nothing like it (cell shaded).

The wiiu is just yet another platform for them to milk their super mario bros over and over and hooray it has multplats which i can play on my PS3/360 already. By the time this comes out the next gen will start for sony and MS and once again this will be the last gen tech.

The fans are the reason this exists. Fighting games go above and beyond all you codbro type of peoples heads. It is the one genre that can truly boast real skill and commitment and thus the games go through changes as new things are discovered and rebalanced.
Obviously you never gave a shit about SF4 in the first place because you cannot comprehend this. SF4 exists because the fans (not you) begged for 10 years.
Well besides the obvious of the new characters and all the replay channel features everyones been asking for, a lot of changes have been made to all the characters to the point where the game has become way more attack based rather than holding down block and mashing uppercuts all day.
As a result character rankings have changed dramatically, with weaker characters becoming far more powerful. Hopefully this leads to people being more experimentive with character selection.
