Well maybe because I want to play the game now instead of in 2013. NO ONE who actually knows how to play fighting games complains about a revision a year later. Fighting games are more about gameplay than other genre and that is what true fighting gamers buy these games for.

Its a fair score, but you did leave out details on the super meter such as brave edge attacks and the fact that guard impact uses meter, oh and also Hwoarang is a Tekken character whose never been in Soul calibur ever and Kilik IS in the game he just has a different moveset now.
Looking great, hopefully they pay the same amount of attention to making the gameplay deeper this time.

Yep, how dare a car combat game play like a car combat game. I think its lazy to just say its the same thing like if I were to put in twisted metal from 10 years ago I wouldn't notice any difference in gameplay whatsoever. Can't wait for the 5/5 COD review in November.
On the contrary MGO is one of the freshest online shooters around. There's so many systems and mechanics that make this game stand out as being unique and of all these online games you actually have to be skill-full, organised and smart to succeed.
This game was only ruined once again by stupid shitty kids lag switching and DDOS attacking the Konami servers constantly, making the experience shitty for everyone. Eventually Konami seemed to not care anymore about fighting ...

So I read through your review and honestly I think you have grossly undervalued the amount of change in the mechanics of this game. You keep referencing this "leap" from SC2-SC4 when the reality is SC4 is probably the most hated of the lot and all the changes since SC2 have actually been non nonsensical and detrimental to the series.

Again, more "journalists" completely not getting what the point of a fighting game is and instead whining about story modes.
Agree with everything said above me, plus the fact that still in this day and age mainstream journalists make "teh modes" the most important and coveted thing in the world when it comes to fighting games. They will casually say that the gameplay is great and then moan for 90% of the review that there's no skyrim like mode single player content.
Look at Mortal Kombat for example, it had praise shining out of its ass however the core things that actual fighting ...

Hate to say it but I think they are going to do a "super" version next year. The game is still very popular and yet there is no major DLC? They probably have made a handfull of new characters and decided to make some more and release it as a new game with some rebalancing....
Or they just want to focus on SF X Tekken from now on...
Pretty much the only thing that let SOTC down was the frame rate and the horrible camera. If both of these are addressed then the game is flawless in my eyes.

Your also forgetting that "milking" also refers to the quality of each game.
You cant compare the uncharted series which has massively improved upon itself with each iteration (I prefer 2 to 3 for story tho) and each game is an individual high quality stand alone experience, to a series like Halo which essentially adds a few new features (omg teh jetpacks) but is the same shit repackaged over and over.
