This conference was exactly what I expected and completely predictable. Its the same conference for the last 3 years now.
But it kind of shows how unthreatened MS feel about the Wii U. Im expecting Sonys to be a bit better with obviously way more diverse exclusives but both companys will play it safe.
The first two games were awesome, this is a day one buy for me.
Play Dead space 2 on its MAX difficulty with no check points and only 3 saves allowed then tell me how many times you shit your pants when any necromorph can kill you in 1 hit and you loose 5 hours of progress if you die.
I set my expectations low and they were met quite satisfactorily. The halo/gears/forza, kinect and timed dlc combination seems to work for them so why would they change their srategy.
Lol bionicle is exactly what I was thinking. No point in making a game more realistic and gritty if the enemies look like childrens lego.

To be fair that was 5 minutes of gameplay, you can't really pass judgement based on that. Obviously for a conference they want to show something fast and action orientated.
edit: err, think about what they showed us in that 5 minutes. cars blowing up everywhere, helicopters crashing in to buildings, being surrounded by thousands of zombies. Theres no way that is what will happen for the 15+ hours of time you play it. Its obvious they chose a cinematic section of gamepla...

To be fair to eidos they never said anything about day 1 DLC, simply that 360 will get it first.
So why exactly should I buy this? Its an xbox 360 with mario games.
Multi-plat developers aren't gonna bother with the tablet controller because they will have to waste time rewriting game mechanics, and then at some point sony and ms will put out their new consoles and the wii u will start loosing those Multi-plats because it cant keep up.

Its just going to be the same game with the exact same canned animations from 10 years ago. The gameplay is so boring in this series, it's basically lived off of create a wrestler and the addictiveness of community creations (when it works).

Erm No, the wii was completely safe because they were using gamecube tech which cost next to nothing to manufacture, they made profit from the very first wii they sold.

You register for an ID then you enter it at the login screen for MGO, then it auto logs you in everytime after that.
The thing that killed this game is all the call of duty shithead children glitching and hacking away at it until konami decided to give up trying to fix it entirely. In hindsight It should of been p2p and based within PSN.
