It says "the beginning of the end".
And I have to agree. Unless Toshiba can pull a rabbit out of the hat, the war will be over soon.
The original title of the source article is: "An HD DVD price cut moves the Xbox in line with the PS3".
I'm sure most of you all have been through the NG4 tutorials before you become a contributor. In the tutorial, the guideline (Step 3 of 3) clearly says: "The story title should always be the same as the headline of the story you link to."
Notice the keywords: *ALWAYS* be the same.
And they don't require HD capacity.
If a game has a lot of pre-rendered cutscenes, then yeah, it'll need all the space it can get.
Although with all the leaks that are already out, it is almost as good as a confirmed price cut.
I've never heard of it.
Most consumers look at the entry price point, not the prices of the more expensive, soup-up models. Look at the Wii. Consumers are buying it like there's no tomorrow because it has the lowest entry price.
Most consumers do not want to buy a HD player. Most Xbox 360 buyer do not want to buy a HD player; and in fact, they do not. With Xbox 360, I can CHOOSE to not get a HD player and not pay for it because I do not want it. With PS3, I cannot; I have to pay for the Blu-ray ...

As far as I know, EGM has not reviewed those two games yet. In the past, EGM has always had praises for those games in the previews.
I think this story -- i.e., its source, which is just a forum post -- is FALSE.
Not Microsoft.

You know, cinematic cut and editing do leave out the unnecessary -- don't have to put everything in.
but Bioware said no, thanks.
Microsoft should really try again.
Microsoft should not have shown Halo 3 at E3 2007 at all because it was not ready. At least it would have kept people guessing what the hell was going on.
When Bungie could not get a single-player demo of Halo 3 ready for E3 2007, Microsoft asked Ubisoft to fill in with Assassin's Creed (which Ms. Raymond graciously obliged.) That's why Assassin's Creed had bugs on stage, because Microsoft asked Jade Raymond for the favor very late, and Ms. Raymond did not get enough time to ...

Guys, people have to report it as "Fake" and "Lame" (which this story is) over and over again to get it removed. This video should be re-submitted, but under a different, neutral title.
NOWHERE in the video does it tell people to stay away or not buy 360. The contributor guy is a big Sony fanboy, and he obviously deliberately made up a fake/wrong title. This is just a very, very dishonest and deceptive smear tactic. It's getting too low and classless.
This story needs to be removed.

And I tipsed this video first, using a neutral title. You did not give me the credit but instead elected to change the title to a loaded one.
Being the big Sony fanboy you are, you deliberately made up that title to smear 360.
The tech guru mentioned the fact that Microsoft has extended the warranty. But he also pointed out that Xbox currently has most popular games and other advantages.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, He did NOT, as the article claims, "advised all consumers to not buy an Xbox 360 until at least the end of the year."

for forming an oligopolistic bloc with Hollywood studios to favor Blu-ray. However, I think by the time the investigation is complete, it'll be already too late for HD-DVD.
