Outsourcing?
It'll come down to these two games by the end of the year.
Crytek ported their last blockbuster, Far Cry, to Xbox (but not Playstation), so it's possible that they'll do it again for 360.
PC and 360 are similar architectures and can reuse a lot of the codes. So making a port between two platforms (PC and 360) is easy.
On the other hand, PS3 has a completely different architecture than PC/360. So developers would have to rewrite everything from ground-up if they want to port anything over from PC/360.
Those are games should require a hard drive. People can still play the games if they don't have a hard drive on their 360. They just can't save games.
Also, you have to remember: Crytek's last blockbuster, Far Cry, was ported to Xbox but not Playstation. Have you already forgotten? Given Crytek's track record and history, I say they are more likely to port Crysis to Xbox 360 than PS3.
Most importantly, PC and 360 are similar architectures and can reuse much...
Just think about it. Most PCs have a regular DVD drive, *not* a Blu-ray or HD-DVD drive.
So, if Crysis can run perfectly fine on PC without a Blu-ray/HD-DVD drive, then it will run just fine on Xbox 360 on a regular DVD.
That's why it's a bad idea to announce or let people know about a price drop before it happens.
but I was just in the official Xbox forums, and that's what people said in there.
OXM gave Gears of War 9 out of 10.
OXM gives BioShock 10 out of 10.
And way too many FPS on the list.
but with vampires and werewolves instead of aliens.
Most likely, Microsoft put up the money for it. Otherwise, why would any developer want to make a Japanese game for Xbox 360?
hotshot1237: "but the point is u never hear ps3 people talkin about the games that we so desperately need on ps3."
Oh, really?
How do you explain this petition?
Petition to Port Mass Effect To Playstation 3: http://www.petitiononline.c...
I am not a fan of the series myself. So far you're the only person in here who keeps singing praises of MGS4 in a Mass Effect thread. MGS4, Killzone 2, or an action game is just not going to convince me to buy a PS3. It has to be something else.
But if PS3 can get a couple of really nice, exclusive single-player Western RPG titles, then I'll switch over. Maybe you can contact Sony and tell them that they need to look into getting some exclusive Western RPGs, because that'...
I'm a big fan of Western RPGs. PS3 just does not cut it for me when it does not have any exclusive Western RPGs. It's the one genre that makes or breaks a console for me personally, and you know there are many devoted Western RPG players out there who are like me.
Can you name one Western RPG that is *exclusively* on PS3? At all?
In Mass Effect, you can play as either male or female Shepard in Mass Effect. you can actually customize Shepard's face as well. (So far, all of the demos have shown only the standard male Shepard.) In addition, you can follow either the good, neutral or evil path. As always, you can choose from different classes: soldier, engineer, biotic specialist, etc.
In the game, some paths and storylines are mutually exclusive. Obviously you cannot be a male and female Shepard at the ...
Horrible, fake English accent.
Poorly written narration.
Yes, God is coming to PS3 Home.
Hopefully your kids will be able to spell better and use better grammar and punctuation than you do.
Have you considered spending the money on English lessons instead? You need those lessons more than a video game console, and I think your kids will appreciate a parent who can use good spelling, grammar and punctuation.
We'll find out soon enough.
If after the $50 price cut, (which will make both Xbox 360 and Wii start at $250,) Xbox 360 catches up with or matches Wii in sales, then we'll know that price point is supremely important to consumers.
Xbox 360 Core will be at the same price point as the Wii?
Will anyone still want to buy Wii when they can get a true next-gen console with superior graphic at the same price point, or will Wiimote continue to prevail?
FYI, it's Namco Bandai that makes those two games into Xbox 360 exclusives. Atari only distributes them in Europe.
