Hahaha thats the spirit. Yeah this place is a joke sometimes... Scratch that, the entire internet is a joke sometimes.
I'm gonna have to agree, I don't actually know anyone with Prototype and 3 with Infamous. After playing Infamous I just didn't feel like any other super hero game could compete. After watching gameplay videos of Prototype and reading reviews, my theory was confirmed (in my opinion, anyway).
Halo 3 beta had nothing to do with the "success" of this game.
Ok, you caught me. Bad joke.
Where does he get this stuff? I swear this guy just guesses about everything and when he is right (to be nice lets say 50% of the time), he "called it."
In other news, I predict Halo ODST will break 1 million sales.
Man I am so over sales data. I guess for some people this stuff is just the only thing that interests them in gaming but for me it's bustin' caps in Killzone 2. :)
Seriously though, sales are not always correlated to the quality of a game. For instance, I doubt BlazBlue will ever sell as much as Street Fighter IV but it is (arguably) a better game. I think this logic applies to consoles as well, especially with the price factor considered. But lets avoid that topic, shall we? ;)...
It could have something to do with the fact that I was 17 and it was the first M rated game I ever bought but when I was playing RE4 at night by myself in the basement and I got to the village and saw the cop on the stake and all the villagers, I was pretty sufficiently freaked the eff out.
The difference is, even if you don't think RE4 is "scary," it maintains a creepy atmosphere throughout (the village, castle, graveyard, island, etc.). All of the locales are just nat...
People who own a PS3 already made this decision. They bought the PS3 at the highest price of any console even when they could have opted for a cheaper console.
There is a lot of truth to the old saying, "You get what you pay for."
scary.
Yeah I only visited it a couple times and honestly was not very impressed. The simple fact is, unless they can make this more fun than playing the great games on the PS3, it's really hard to justify spending your time in Home. I certainly don't mind that it's there and maybe one day it will become something worth spending time in but right now I am perfectly happy not using it.
Sony's dedication to keeping this service free really impresses me as a consumer. With more content constantly being added (as well as features), what's not to love?
Very interesting. It would be nice to see the PSN grow in this dimension. Absolutely love the support Sony has shown for their growing online network.
Oh yeah, the free part is kind of nice too... :)
I still think this is a little ridiculous. I guess the content is kind of cool but there is no way I'm shelling out that kind of money for a game.
Now maybe if they bundled an MP5 with it...
EDIT: Oh yeah I'm not saying people won't do it. I mean night vision goggles certainly beats a plastic mini helmet so I guess if you are that big of a fan it is a pretty cool deal.
That would be pretty unfortunate... seems like a lot of people still play this game. I will be happy with Killzone 2, Resistance 2, COD WAW, and COD MW2 however.
I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for their new game though. If they can top Warhawk it will be a must buy.
I only care to assure you that no one cares.
As long as I get Modern Warfare 2 and Uncharted 2 this year I doubt I will have time to care if anything else is released. I got owned last year with so many good games at the end of the year so I wouldn't mind a bit if its toned down a little.
Plus, with games like God of War III coming out early next year, we will still have plenty of good games to play, they will just be spaced out a little more. Thats a good thing in my opinion.
EDIT: You know, on second thought...
Yes, I am a PS3 owner. More to the point, I am a gamer. Who happens to play games. Odd, I know.
Did it ever occur that maybe I could afford a 360 right now but I choose not to buy one anyway? Why would sales matter to me in that instance?
EDIT: At below, you are quick to generalize aren't you? I never said anything about the 360 "years ago" or whatever you guys are talking about. I honestly didn't care about sales then and I don't know. If I cared about sal...
