What would I have done differently? How about start with creating a game that doesn't look like it could have come out in 2005. Maybe charge 30 dollars or even 40 for the "game" instead of 60. I think this game will be a huge indicator as to the current popularity of the Halo franchise. Will it still have the same insane sales as its predecessors? It is, after all, a full game. Ha.

This is an exciting time for all the new PS3 owners, as well as for those of use who have owned one for awhile.
If you are just getting a PS3 I would have to suggest Killzone 2, Infamous, MGS4, Uncharted, and the Resistance series as some exclusives that are really worth looking into. (Also, I know there are tons of other great ones, so don't go crazy on me for "leaving them out")
Having said that, this is going to be a great holiday season for us PS3 owner...

Every time these lists come out people are whining about what should be on there, what should be number 1, etc.
It's just a list made by a guy with an opinion people. A guy just like you or me. I mean yes, I think Uncharted 2 should be on the list but the game still exists and it's still coming out October 13th so don't worry about it.
Sorry just tired of people whining about everything. (Mostly this and 3.0 as well).
For anyone still considering this, allow me to put it into perspective for you. I own both GOW 1 and 2 and love them both. Having said that, I am still buying this collection on day 1.
So thats that. Worth it does not begin to describe the epicness of this package.

The value at $299 is undeniable. If you are a real gamer, you need to own a PS3. There is just no reason to be a fanboy anymore.

Interesting you should mention Uncharted, a new IP developed at the beginning of this generation featuring a WHOLE TWO GAMES. That is not quite the same as the Halo universe now is it? We haven't even played the second one yet to see how similar it is to the first, let alone the fact that it is ONLY the second one.

Wow that would be so unfortunate if you bought a PS3 and found out a few days later that the slim was announced. Oh well, I guess you should have done some research and seen all the rumors floating around.
Anyway, its cool that Best Buy is trying to do something for the consumers who got a little unlucky with this deal.
This just shows how Sony plans to operate the Playstation brand. Sell the PS3 at a minor loss and rack in the money from royalties on games and Blu-Rays.
Seeing how the PS3 has a ton of amazing games and a seemingly constant stream of new ones, I see no problems with operating in this fashion.
I would love to see what Bungie could do with a whole new universe, as I personally feel like the Halo universe is wearing out its welcome.
I know I'll probably get flamed for this but I think Bungie would be much happier as a 3rd party dev because then they could do whatever they wanted without any "nudges" to make sequels they don't want to make and things like that.

There are so many good exclusives on the PS3 that people can't even keep up with them all. I mean, I have been averaging over a game a month and while some of them have been multiplats, I have bought a ton of exclusives. It's almost like Sony was completely content with just sitting back and letting the system sell itself for a few years. Unfortunately for the competition, it seems this is the time they have chosen to unleash the beast.
A $300 PS3 will sell like insane madness for a good period of time and if it comes bundled with a hot game (GT5 especially), it really is game over.
