It makes me sad really. I loved my Vita. I still play it to this day. I've imported numerous games on it and still play it when I'm on the go since it's not near as bulky as my Switch. I just hope Japan keeps getting some awesome games in their digital market so I have games to play for years on end.

"For their sakes, here’s hoping Square Enix can come up with a subscription option that gamers find appealing, because the company is struggling somewhat at the moment. Their current fiscal year, which kicked off at the beginning of April, hasn’t been going terribly well, with Shadow of the Tomb Raider and the company’s mobile and MMO businesses underperforming. Granted, Square Enix will probably still do okay this year due to Kingdom Hearts III, but one of those only comes around once e...

Thank you for the feedback. I know it's too late to add it to the article, but I appreciate the nudge in the right direction and the feedback. Thank you.

I actually mention this in my article, Apocalypse.

"Since that point, Sony has made it their objective to stay ten steps ahead of their competition. So far, they are doing so and they are doing it rather well. They’ve hit a paced stride with their first-party offerings; games such as Marvel’s Spider-Man, Horizon Zero Dawn and even Detroit: Become Human remain some of their strongest current releases while titles such as Bloodborne and God of War remain on the radar of ...

Biggest deal with all of this. Sony has won. Hands down they have won this generation. There is no competition. The Switch is great, but it's clear that Nintendo doesn't want to compete or they would have made something close to both Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro to compete with their contenders. They didn't want to, instead, Nintendo did what Nintendo does best and went home, the long way around.

Sony innovated in their own right. They brought PC-exclusives ...

@jukins nailed it. That's exactly how I'm looking at it. Both as a consumer and a journalist. Thank you buddy.

The issue is, as someone who enjoys the PS4 and PSVita, how is it wrong to show concerns over various portions of Sony's approach this generation were because of Andrew House and Kaz Hirai.

I do think Shuhei will do a great job giving Tsuyoshi Kodera advice when called upon. I do think Sony will continueto release extremely polished games next generation, but will they be as strong of titles as they were generation.

Will they continue to lose some of ...

Mind telling me why? I would appreciate the constructive criticism about this piece

I've been a fan of Sony this entire generation. I've bought both the standard and pro on their respective launch dates.

I am cautious with the fact Sony has had some technical oversights and may do so moving forward. The name change being one. Killing the Vita another. I do expect that they will kink out a good portion of the licensing issues as they approach the release date of the name change system for the public.

I'll be getting PS5 on lau...

It's an opinion piece. Nothing more. I'm adoring my PlayStation 4 Pro and I can guarantee I'll be getting the PlayStation 5. just because I'm worried about a few things doesn't mean they may not respond to the problems I have. Personally, I feel the PlayStation Plus offerings have been getting better and I hope they continue to improve.

This is the first time I've actually expressed concern over Sony in any form.

Agreed. Completely agree. I was fine Mario Kart 8 Deluxe due to all of the additional content being included. It made sense, but what dumbfounded me was games like Hyrule Warriors and Bayonetta, both of which have released multiple times. I'd have been okay with those at $39.99 or even $49.99. But $59.99? Nah. I wasn't okay with that.

You do know why they are wanting to move all their games to Bethesda's launcher right? Pete Hines discussed that during QuakeCon 2018 and they were very clear behind their intentions of it. They want to be able to fix their games through their own reporting system, through their own way of grabbing information that they can use based on those reports to fix the games.

But it doesn't soften the fact that he made it clear that Fallout 76 might not ever have cross-play...

For me, digital only is a double-edged sword. I've gotten used to it due to Steam and the dominance of PC gaming being a digital-only option at this point (for the most part). My only concern is this - what happens if my game gets canned and the developer closed due to legal issues (here's to looking at Too Human and formerly Alan Wake - the latter being recently restored on Steam) and I still want to play my game? Due to those legal issues; I can't. Now I won't get a refund o...

Issue is. I had a game get delisted after uninstalling (in this case Alan Wake and Alan Awake American Nightmare) and I couldn't re-download them again. So happy to see them back on Steam. Definitely a worthwhile duo of games.

The score wouldn't have gone up over those features. The score would have gone up based upon the ability for features that were sensible such as native party and or game chat features (the current system is a mess), cheaper re-released ports of previously released Wii U exclusives and even a better outline of their warranty services and ability to extend (my Switch hasn't had any issues outside of the loose Joy-Con's due to natural wear and tear).

To be honest. I'd love to see it, but realistically, there's too much going on in it. This is truly a mouse and keyboard kind of game due to how it handles and plays.

I'm confused as to why Sony didn't take the Steam approach and use our original PSN ID (the one you want to change from) as an "Identifier" within the system and allow you to just use a new name like Steam. Even my games on Steam recognize my old Steam name even though I've changed it since as they know I'll need that in the system to play my old games if I wish to.

They've definitely been hard at work on the game. There have been multiple updates to the net code already this past weekend and more today. Can't wait to see them get this completely up and running.

I'm actually confused by this. The PlayStation 4 version of the game actually allows for Mouse and Keyboard. That's what I use when the gaming rig is unavailable due to remodeling in our house. I've never got a warning, a ban, etc. I use a mouse and keyboard for FFXIV on PC and PlayStation 4 as well, so I'm confused on how/why their banning people when even the UI in the settings offers your mouse and keyboard settings? This article is too vague on what platforms they are bann...

Dante's Inferno deserved another chance. EA just doesn't understand the value of singleplayer games. Look at AC: Odyssey from Ubisoft. It's literally their fastest selling title in the franchise and it's a singleplayer title with optional MTX's. I love what I've played of it this far and still have a lot left to do.

EA just wants the fast money at this point. It was very evident with how they made DS3.
