Honestly I don't think GS will go anywhere anytime soon, if anything they will be like a lot of other stores started doing - Retro gaming; Carry the latest greatest however sell vintage games and consoles that's probably collecting dust in some warehouse. I know a few gaming stores where I lived started this and made MORE money off a lot of collectable games dating back to the NES days, and some dating back to the Magnavox (sp) Odyssey days.
Lately I've been shopping on amazon because there's a lot of deals that I find impossible to pass up - even when GS swears "you get extra 30% trade in credit towards X game" when on amazon it's that price WITHOUT having to trade in your games; that alone is a deal breaker. I agree with the poster below about selling new games opened - If they don't have an unopened copy I refuse to buy it, regardless of how much they try to swear on it being new. Anymore I'll g...
I don't want to sound mean, and I do hate the thought of people potentially losing jobs; GS needs to hire more knowledgeable employees, and stop trying to force pre-orders every time I buy something. I understand there's a quota that needs to be met, however I don't need to reminded every damn time about new releases AFTER I specifically mention what I want and don't want.
Also they need to do something about this "bonus trade-in" that supposedly he...
How about some Sega CD games get the retro treatment? I do miss the Genesis (personally I liked it better than SNES and yes I did own both) however they should at least list some Sega CD games to maybe add to PSN/Live down the road. So far I bought Streets of Rage 2, Sonic 1/2/CD, and Altered Beast, Comix Zone came free with +, and I got the platinum trophy in Sonic Genesis Collection.
I also vote for a Sonic 3 and Knuckles ROM for PSN/Live, that game I would play to deat...
I bought the season pass back when it first came out since I spent a lot of time playing; however now that I have 4 jobs at 50, and some of Gearbox's recent decisions on certain things I don't agree with, I've spent my time on other games and haven't really looked back. I do have some positive memories playing with certain people, however like any other game I had to move on to greener pastures. I may return again someday however right now isn't the time.
I'm surprised Akuma is 3rd and Evil Ryu is around the middle
If only this patch came out back when I was playing in Dec/Jan; now I don't care as much since there's other games more deserving of my $.
Wishful thinking is a Vita version that has cross game save like Retro City Rampage. However I do plan on buying this for the PS4.
The new Dino Crisis
I feel the same way, just because it has a trophy patch doesn't mean I'm gonna play it again to boost my score. I'm also sure there's going to be some restriction to certain games (Final Fantasy 11, and Socom 2 come to mind) with online and how that will fit into this (if it even gets the green light).
"Yoichi Wada, who has been in the role since Square merged with Enix in 2003, will be leaving his post" (From the article)
This song I'm gonna blast all day now:
@Green
How much did Microsoft pay you to defend them, down to the "always online?"
OT
I like the idea of an offline mode, not because of the "online DRM" or because of "privacy" like Sony wants to use (which is a good thing), it's this thing called ISP going down whether its 5 min or 5 hours; I like the idea of being able to play offline if needed.
Nothing about the beta posted there, and it looks like there hasn't been an update lately on the site either.
@Generic
This is taken from the article:
"The game is scheduled for release this summer on both PC and PlayStation 3."
I guarantee he's going to respond with something like "oh she's a tomboy, she don't count" or "She was paid to say it's ok however in some unconfirmed, made up interview she didn't agree and was told if she wanted to keep her job to stay quiet."
OT
Now anyone can call "foul" on a trophy/achievement and with enough complaining the companies will start re-naming them to shut the public up.
The only decline I see in gaming is lack of creativity and confidence in a new idea. Independent Developers use what they have, and put in the effort to be recognized so a bigger company can some day hire them, or they become big themselves. The one thing I miss from the 8-16-32 bit era's were different types of games released, and how certain games pushed hardware to prove certain achievements can be done - Examples include Killer Instinct, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 3/6, Street Fig...
I remember something about Redguard being something related to some sort of engine for next gen; however I wouldn't be surprised if that is the name of the next pack.
Isn't there some rumor about 2 more DLC packs coming out post Dragonborn/Dawnguard? I've seen on some sites there's talk of 2 more expansions then the game is 100% done with Bethesda; I know part of it has to be true with the 1.9 patch and I'm assuming 2.0 is when the new stuff comes out. If anyone can confirm I'd appreciate it.
One could argue in GTA you play as the "bad guy" however you "can" do good deeds. Manhunt is another game where you could say your an antagonist, same with Bully.
Damn, thought it was the US version for $20, not their version. However, and I could be wrong, when did the Euro dollar start matching the US dollar? In the link it says 19.99 Euro's but I thought the Euro dollar was stronger than ours? I'm not trying to troll or anything I was just wondering.
