I bought the Wii on launch day believing the 1:1 motion hype and Twilight Princess was a must have. Little did I know the true 1:1 wouldn't come until almost 3 years later in 2009. Still, I loved the console even though the ads BSed everything haha.
You called any early adopter of 3DS a troll. That's Sony fanboyism right there. I love all 3 gaming corparations and i own all 3 consoles and a 3DS. I want the Vita to succeed. If you want to place blame on who writes these "doom and gloom" articles you should blame:
1) Journalists who want lots of hits and traffic on their websites, so they write controversial articles like these, predicting the downfall of the next big device
2) Hardcore Ninte...
I'm happy with my launch 3DS and I don't want to see the Vita fail. It looks awesome but I can't find the time to play it (hell I don't play handheld games as often anymore unless I'm on the road or something)
Stop the fanboyism.
The biggest issues so far seem to do with expensive memory cards and the 3G version being expensive and it can't even run flash.
Sony won't cut the price. Here's what they will do first IMO.
1) Ship more wi-fi versions (they are selling way more in Japan)
2) lower the price of 3G version only
3) bundle a 4GB memory card with each version and keep prices the same (most likely option)
I'm not gonna read the article. The vita is fine. God I was pissed when people were posting these articles about the 3DS. Now ppl are doing it with the vita. Why do people want to see a companies downfall?
Exactly. Also I meant to say "roleplaying" not "replaying" lol.
BioWare knows how to blend story and gameplay. My fetch quests don't feel like fetch quests. I want to collect six teeth so save the twi'lek child, etc.
BioWare does a terrific job of telling a story with open worlds. Thats a lazy excuse from Toriyama..
2009 is when the PS3 began to take off with huge first party titles and the PS3 Slim price cut. Wii is dead now, so the 2011 sales figures are to be expected.
Coming from a guy that hated WoW and most MMO's, I am enjoying it a lot. Very streamlined, presentable, crisp graphics, smooth gameplay, and all other elements you would expect of a good MMO. You can play most of the game solo or with a party so it's good.
They don't bother me. Hell the cutscenes are what make fetch quests bearable for me. I hate mmo's but I love this game because it has good replaying elements like story, combat, exploration, etc.
Handheld gaming is dead, because our 3DS's have no souls! So it was never alive!
I love my 3DS :)
Thank god Skyrim didn't win. Games with many bugs, no matter how great, shoudnt win GOTY. I agree with this.
I like uncharted but I never understood how Drake can be this charming adventure seeker, and mass murderer at the same time lol. The shooting mechanics dont fit with Drakes character, but the platforming and puzzle solving do (my favorite elements of uncharted). If I had to sneak around killing a couple guys out of necessity I can see that, but needing a machine gun t take out entire armies for treasure? That's out of character.
I get the authors point and I agree with i...
Michael Pachter, is that you?
……......
I own an iPad and iPhone and angry birds and infinity blade don't satisfy my gaming needs. My 3DS and all 3 consoles and PC do however, and I may just buy a vita too.
This article is obviously just his opinion, but his opinion sounds like Michael Pachter trolling about how "handheld gaming is dead"
BioWare did it right. They began development of SWTOR in 2005 but did nt announce it until 2009, and released it in 2011. Perfect hype.
I thnk rock star will wait for E3 and release it end of june. Maybe even as a wii U launch title?
CES never reveals anything good. It's not a gaming centric event. There will be more Kinect announcements and presentations on the new Xbox live update.
Just like nintendo will not reveal any new info on the Wii U at CES
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade HD
It is the way of the future. I don't use them but the casuals do and I'm happy the Wii U is so far catering to both crowds. Plus it can maybe win over some iPad users.
Handheld gaming War II:
Battle: 3486
Article: 345, 768
Continue the flame wars.
Like honestly people stop with all these comparisons. Both consoles target differs audiences. Those with money who want a console like experience on their handheld want the Vita. Those who enjoy Sony franchises will w ant vita.
Those who prefer cheaper handheld gaming and no big on console like experiences on their handheld (that...
