@Gardenia
Nah the author is a "she" you misgendering fuck lol/s
Kinda want to draw attention to this part of the article:
"Because let's remember, the things people say they love about Lovecraft's work? The existential horror? The sense of helplessness and unknowable horrors? Guess what, they don't belong to him."
So the author seems to have more of an issue with the work being labelled...
"Nintendo isn't outdoing sony in any way at all, and they're not even direct competition anyway so the comparisons don't mean much."
Except that's pretty much what the dev says in the article:
"Nintendo has done a complete [180]. They’re pretty much how Sony was years ago. Sony was at the height of the indie scene and now it’s become kind of Nintendo who’s like that.”
He then continued, “Now I know how to ...
@skankinruby
Yes, but when we look at sales in the same timeframe from launch it shows that the PS4 is only 2 mil ahead. So the Switch has done very well considering the scepticism. If the PS4 and Xbox One were coming up to their second year and only had a 2 mil gap in sales would we be calling the Xbox One a failure? I don't think so.
Obviously, we don't know what is going to happen to the Switch later in its life and I'm still sticking to my...
That's pretty much the problem. Also, they insisted on introducing ancient humans or aliens (i really don't care what we call them) to the point where it distracted from what was actually interesting and made AC what it is. A collection of stories about the Templars journey to control the world and how the Assassins fight against them. At this point, its become so convoluted that it doesn't actually have a clear direction.
I'd much rather return to a story a...
The author of this is treading in territory that works both ways.
Also, I actually know we'd see the exact same reaction if an adaption of lets say TloU made Ellie a guy. But apparently, that's showing insecurity.
I remember years back we had an article that had a title like: "Nolan North debuts on Xbox with Halo Wars". And as many rightfully pointed out he had appeared numerous times before on the platform and was even the voice for some of the marines in Halo 3.
People act as though voice actors are owned by a corporation when they appear in an exclusive title.
Slow news day I take it?
Or you can have people that camp the quest zone and continually murder you and receive no penalty for it while locking you out of progressing further in the game... Take your pick my friend.
So you'd rather the game be about the number next to your player rather than teamwork, planning and skill?
Could be a while until those release but they're definitely good titles to wait for.
Theres always been the saying that if you play on PC you may as well pretend Ubisoft doesn't exist because their support for the platform is constantly underwhelming and pathetic. They want to have their own client like Origin and Steam but not offer any support for it, and then wonder why their PC sales arent very good.
@skull521
I don't think we should assume what is or isn't easy in this case.
All I'll say is I'm happy the option is there for those who are interested but I definitely won't be playing this way.
Let's not fool ourselves. The system is not alive when this is your upcoming lineup: https://m.uk.ign.com/upcomi...
The excuse of trying to do something differently doesn't work when it's just inconvenient by comparison.
Yeah was about to say that I don't think any of the trophies are linked to any difficulty based tasks so it's definitely going to have a higher completion rate.
@Elda
I wouldnt say don't trust Sony with handhelds, but if they do make another they should offer a clear roadmap of what is to come and explain what would make it different from the Vita.
Dunno if just allowing your system to exist without releasing a steady stream of games for it is "alive and kicking". The reality is the Vita never received a single game that sold extremely well. I think a few hit a mil and I'd expect Minecraft did well but it never received a single must buy game.
The main difference with the Wii U is that Nintendo fought a losing battle but the 1st party games still sold very well. Surprisingly well considering the install ...
@-Froxtrot
So you don't think Sony or MS are competing for that time either? Or am I just missing how they've been adding netflix and all sorts of multimedia apps to their systems? They have acknowledged this too but it seems everyone just wants to pretend they haven't.
@Inkight7s
Congratulations! You proved you didn't click the article because he actually called MS and Sony "direct competition".
Also Reggie is the COO of Nintendo. If you're going to make a desperate attempt to look clever atleast try to be informed on what his job title is.
Next time you see an article on the front-page have a go at actually reading more than just the title.
