Physical products still have a place in the market. Just ask Sony :P

Therefore I don't think consoles are going anywhere yet.

I suggest just add water checks the UK chart because Revelations is selling fine. In fact all Capcom games have met their expectations on 3DS. Others sold well as well.

Release Wii U with Mario.
$$$$$$$$
Profit.

Well if it was glorious high definition graphics with that controller I bet the price would be five hundred and ninety nine US dollars. $599

Everybody makes mistakes. Sony's were mainly price point. It only makes the companies more competitive the next time around when they launch their new systems when they learn from those mistakes.

I won't say about home because I don't use it.

Agree. 2014 is too late but this year is too early. I wonder if Sony can get it out next year. I'm really excited to see how this plays out. Nothing more exciting than next gen consoles.

Now that would sell some Vitas in Japan.

Good. I'm ready for next gen. I don't think we'll see announcements from Sony this year but we will hear more rumours. As for MS I'd be surprised if they didn't announce it at E3.

What I'm worried about with MS is the direction they are taking now. The more rumours we get the more it sounds like the next box will be Kinect focused. I hope its not TOO Kinect focused.

It will well enough to make it successful. What people need to worry about is the software sales. Games don't look so hot in sales.

@ Heartnet

I like the way you underestimate Nintendo. You talk like there aren't any hardcore gamers in Nintendo's market. Heres a fact: people will buy Wii U regardless.

While Nintendo might not be strong on the FPS market right now thats not to say its going to change. This is completely new console and a completely new start for Nintendo. And one thing I can guarantee is they are definitely strong in the Japanese side of games. Something like Final...

I don't see how "beating" it in sales matters. As long as developers see money on their software, they will develop games for the system.

3DS has come back from it's woes. Vita will too some day. Its proof that there is still a market for these systems. Congratulations to you Nintendo.

I'll say it again. Wii U Mad?

Its the perfect name. It shows how Nintendo trolled Microsoft into attacking casuals while they go back for the core.

Needs to be called Wii U Mad cause they be trippin

They trolled MS into going to casuals while they scoop up the core.

I agree. I don't know if proper announcements will come this year but certainly rumours will continue to fly. With Nintendo launching this year and MS gearing up for next year Sony can't be far behind.

The gap next gen won't be as big as it was this gen I don't think. Methinks MS will rely on gimmicks instead of graphics.

Unfortunately Cliffy B wanting avatar realistic graphics =/= will have avatar realistic graphics.

They are worse than Activision. At least Activision releases their games with all modes as a standard, as broken as they may be.

They don't go releasing arcade mode with no vs CPU, practice mode and missions with garbage online and say "here is the thing you waited for after a decade of demand". And then go and release what they call the "full" version that should have been only adding one Galactus playable and saying "hey new modes". Note: i...

No it isn't too soon. New systems are way overdue. What people should be concerned about is the direction the next Xbox takes. MS don't seem to know what audience it wants anymore.

5172d ago 2 agree3 disagreeView comment

It depends on how Microsoft go about things. If they do their casual focus they almost certainly will.

5172d ago 11 agree4 disagreeView comment

I'm sure it would have a lot more than it does if Microsoft actually used the IPs in front of them. How many Rare IPs do you have?

If they had more studios they could get more done. For some reason I can see a lot of last year coming. Kinect shovelware with a side of Halo.

They have all these IPs but very rarely use them. Need more studios set up MS.
