Like somewhen already said.AI real gamer will have any system they can get their hands on so they can play all the best games. They are unbiased when assessing a good game no matter which platform.
Some people can't afford to do this and that's fine too. But otherwise, choosing one of the other and declaring a winner is lame. Saying a console has more power than a high end PC is also misinformation, that's never happened.
I find that consoles offer good value, PC...
Cool story
The only thing I like better about consoles is no one cheats in multiplayer games like bf3. Other than that PC is the superior platform and doesn't need to make any compromises like a console,, but having a quality rig costs $$$'s unless you want to build and ugly ghetto rig.
I'm all for the consoles getting some more power, hopefully it's going to unshackle these multiplat engines abit more
I'm pretty sure I sitting on my sofa while playing Crysis 3 last night lol. Heard of HDMI out and wireless technology ?
Going to 8gb of RAM was the Right move. I'm glad they did.
8Gb isn't overkill if you want to future proof it
Awesome link!!
Any enthusiast realizes by now that 60fps @ 1080p (at least) is the holy grail of gaming.
Anything less is a compromise. Its sad to see such compromises are already being accepted by fanboys on a brand new console that hasn't even been released.
It does matter if a game runs at 30fps because it feels like a slide show, essentially your brain is filling in the gaps. So I guess subliminally fanboys are fooling themselves.
I'd sooner 720p at 60fp...
Agreed. 1945 had 64 players. Fast forward to BF4.. Why are we still stuck at 64 ? also removing the bot mode for honing our skills.
BF4 looks great and I'm sure is another step foward, but why talk away features that made the game a success.
@ Ravenor - yeah the ships were part of the experience. You didn't have to use them but the option was there.
It was part of a battlefield experience - hence the title of the game.
Well said ABizzel1 - Shame the obvious and logic never prevail on N4G - The site where emotional and immature gamers take their first steps.
@Kratos_Kills - I agree with you, it doesnt mean bf4 is better at all. Likes and Dislikes aside, what is does show as Abizzel1 detailed, BF4 is more of a technical marvel.
@Scott182 - I got a $2000 gaming PC too. I bought it in 1991, It's called an AMIGA 500..maybe you heard of it. It doesn't look as good as a PS3 either.
Get my drift?! Saying you have a $2000 is meaning less if it's junk old hardware. Its whats inside that matters, not the purchase price!!!
Not arguing with you on that buddy
All valid points fellas.
I did need the portability of it so a rig couldn't work for me at this stage Silent :( - otherwise I probably would have. Considering what I run and what I've done to it I couldn't have got anything cheaper unless I compromised performance - Ie Sager or MSI.
The thing I like about the Alienware (particularly the m18x) is its the only laptop that has unrestricted OCing and a cooling system worth bothering to do so.
I installed an Ex...
Digital download sales are worth the move to PC alone. I don't care if I have to spend $2000 on quality hardware. I'd rather it go towards hardware than over priced software and paying to game online (again) etc.
I got a mean 'overpriced' Alienware m18x r2 crossfired June last year - no turning back for me. Since then, my 3 closest coop buddie went out and bought rigs too lol
People with a clue can tell the difference between 720 and 1080p.
No to mentions all the BSOD this game causes. Stupid Origin and their greedy DRM features causing absolute havok
Lol - I'm getting on this train too.
ATI - How does the game run so far ? Nicely optimised at the momement? Looks like a hog to run
Boy oh boy.. Some people just can't get enough.
Hardcore! Lol! A hardcore gamer is likely to get all the consoles and a dirty beast PC. A hardcore gamer wants to see consoles and PC fiercly compete so that we can all benifit from the spoils.
Your just sound like another fanboy waiting for mummy to buy you your next christmas present. So quick.. Choose the 'winning' side.
I think some people are confusing the Laptop 7970m with the desktop 7970.
Both are great but totally different. 7970m is a mobility laptop gpu, a damn good one at that but it's not as powerful as a desktop. I'm not try to poo poo on the excitement here, but just so you know.
I agree, Too much competing information
There is no good reason for them to use a 7670m.
If any 7xxxM its likely a 7970m since that was released early to mid last year and is 3 time more powerful
The only way to play them in their true form is in a coin-op cabinet, looking at a fuzzy CRT display. For those who don't mind the alternative, emulators will do.
