It all depends on the environment with FF. It sucks when you play multiplayer and some punk on your team keeps killing you or your team mates on purpose. On the other hand people shooting crazy with no consequences also hurts the game play. For this game it looks like FF will be a good thing. Don't know until I buy it.
A year and half more for the rest of the consumers to find out what format wins. This is why the sales are so slow in the first place. In the end I think it's going to be a draw, just like the DVD Format with +/-R.
I feel sorry for anyone who has purchased Halo and got screwed liked that. Waiting all this time, you finally get it, open it and find out your missing the extras. Not only that your disc is scratch and can't play it.
Nice article to read. I was getting tired of reading all the Halo articles. But this was refreshing.
Only one picture has green tint. The playstation Eye looks sharper to me, except for the close-up of the Sony controller. That could just be a focus limit. Who's going to use the camera that close anyway.
I would have liked to see some video capture with this article.
It's funny to see a company like SEGA to ask Sony to lose more money in a price cut, so SEGA can get rewarded. SEGA is only out for SEGA.
If SEGA wants a bigger install base then create a game that generates sales like Halo 3 is doing. Until then they should shut-up or wait until they feel the install base is bigger and release their games.
Sony as of today is moving the consoles just as well as the Xbox 360 did their first year. It's the Wii system that is ma...
Great article, I totally agree with everything the author said. Nothing beats having your friends/family all together playing on the same console laughing and joking around. Bring back the good old days.
Why fight over competition. We the consumers win in the end. If anything we should hope both systems do well. Imagine what it would be like if one of the corporations didn’t exist and had no competition. Let’s take a look.
1. The price of the consoles during launch and the later on would be much higher. Both Microsoft and Sony both sold the consoles for a loss. They only did this because of the competition. Not for the consumer.
2. The prices for games ...
This was not exactly what I wanted to hear from Phil Harrison about the Dual Shock 3 "no learning curve required for developers to implement Dual Shock into PlayStation 3 games, as the system to do so is exactly the same as the one which was used for the PlayStation 2".
Sony could have save face with the comment about last gen. technology for Dual-Shock by announcing the Touch-Sense technology.
I was really looking forward to the Touch-Sense for my P...
I agree with everyone above. Great idea, but way too expensive. The game switch is using a special HDMI/AV to DVI cable. See link below.
Here's the link to Gameswitch for more info:

I'm excited about the news. Unfortunately I do not own a Wii. If the game gets great reviews with the Wii remote, I will get one immediately.
It's a funny article to read by the developer. Also it's very old and out dated.
This developer must work for Microsoft and sucks as a developer. He admits the PS3 is stronger then the 360, but claims developers will never reach its full potential. Then he goes on saying that you don't need a Hard Drive for good games (LOL). Whats his idea of a good tic-tac-toe. The rest of his statements about price, online, and game selection has nothing to do with his expertise

Cheated no.
This always happens in technology. If you keep waiting for the next best thing or price. You'll never buy anything when it comes to technology.
Sony didn't lie rumble was old gen., and Touch Sense is new gen.
I think they should call the controller Six-Sense.
According to the Article looks like the ps2 can use the controller with a firmware update. If that's the case I bet the Xbox-360 will have it too.
A bubble for you!
The main thing is that VGA is pure RGB, as opposed to Component which is compressed into YPbPr. This has to be decompressed into RGB at the TV end. VGA carries more bandwith than Component (about 2x), but it is still an analog connection.
I have two 32-inch HD LCD TV's
One is hook to a Progressive Scan DVD and the other is hook to the p/c. The P/C is using VGA and the Progressive Scan DVD is using Component. The P/C looks better to me but not by much (little clear and...
$8 HDMI cable is the same as a $100+ HDMI cable (like monster cable). Dont waste your money thinking you are gettimg a better product because you paid more.

CNET also had a review in which I cant find that they actually tested Name brand vs generic hdmi cables and found no difference in the signal.
You must of meant APEX. APEX allowed you to shut down the macrovision in the DVD player. When you shut off the macrovision you can now copy the DVD to VHS.
It looks like HD-DVD is going to have LOT's of pirated discs and loss of sales. This might actually hurt HD-DVD and help Blu-ray because the movie industry hates having their product stolen.
I agree with Codeazrael about getting the 60 gig for hundred dollars less. Thats why I bought my ps3 yesterday. Better to get the 60 gig w/ the EE chip, and pick your game. 20 gig is not that much more room, and you can always replace the HD with a bigger size.
I have been a PC gamer since the 386 sx16 with 8mb of imbedded DRAM, soundblaster card and 40mb Hard Drive (LOL). While my friends were all playing with the Atari, Nintendo and Sega.
The article speaks the truth about the myths of the PC is dead for gaming. I heard the same stories back with the PS2. When consoles come out the graphics are only equal or slightly better then the PC. Wait 3 years from now and try to compare the systems.
Don't get me wrong the c...
