You got to be kidding me. 150-megs vs 4.5-gigs. I was going to down load this game. Maybe, I'll pick it up at bestbuy instead.
I'm with you 100%. Replayability to me is what really makes a good game.
I totally agree in what you said. If you are really that good you can overcome and adapt to the situation. The only thing I hate the most is cheating by using hacks & glitching.
That was pretty cool. How sweet it would be if you could add your avatar in Team Fortress 2. I can see this happening more and more in games.
A note was posted yesterday to the Sega Twitter account indicating that the company had been made sufficiently aware of the demo, with the PR rep promising to "bring it up at our brainstorming meeting." Hopefully the ideas brought up at this brainstorming meeting don't include suing this guy.
Connor Beaton knows nothing about the history of computers. It took a along time for the PC gaming to adopt DVD. It was cheaper to put on multiple CD then DVD. Which is the same thing now it's cheaper to put on DVD then Blu-Ray. When the price comes down and the market is flooded with Blu-Ray the PC gaming industry will switch. Also the globe market on internet speed has a long way to go. Downloading 50 gigs plus takes a long time.
"profit is the measuring stick" Not always read below.
I understand what you are saying. It is true that profits are number one concern. The thing is Sony and Microsoft both release their products at a loss. Knowing that in the long haul it will pan out.
Sony released the system at a loss for two reasons. First reason is to be competitive with xbox 360. The second reason is to win the HD format. Sony has succeeded in both, by winning the HD format...
Math, Great lets do numbers:
Q1 2009-10 Hardware Sales
Microsoft - Xbox 360 Pro Console $299 x 1,200,000 = $358,800,000
Sony - PlayStation 3 (80GB) $399 x 1,100,000 = $438,900,000
Lifetime to Date Hardware Sales Worldwide
(Keep the same prices as above)
Xbox 360 - 31.4 million $299 x 31,400,000 = $9,388,600,000
PlayStation 3 - 22.83 million $399 x 22,830,000 = 9,109,170,000
Ok now if you look at the numbers the...
No matter how you want to spin things. I believe both sides already won.
Microsoft Won because of their sale numbers and units sold.
Sony Won because it beat out on the HD market (Blu-Ray).
It was just reported on yesterday on N4G
http://www.n4g.com/industry...
Spending on Blu-ray Disc software was up 91% in the first half of 2009 to $407 million, according to today's mid-year report from DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group.
That's even more notable in the context of the overall market for packaged media, which was down 3.9% to $9.73 billion, and a whopping 13.5% ...
Why do you need to get a PSN card. Just get a pre-paid VISA card. I just did it last night to get Battlefield 1943.
True, but in this case you keep paying. Could you imagine Killzone, Halo, and Call of Duty charging you for every life you use. It will get very expensive.
you are so correct. I also remember the price going up from .25 to .50 and then to $1.
25 maps featuring varying landscapes - from canyons to grassy hills and snowy mountains
Around 500 buildings based on various architectural styles (European, American …)
Diverse citizen structure: Four levels of wealth, four main different needs (Services, Environmental, Prices and Traffic) split into many sub-categories (Police and Fire departments, Education, Leisure, Commerce, multiple types of Pollution, Taxes, Cost of Life, Distance to work and more)

I hope this game comes to the U.S.
The controller has buttons and a control stick
This is not old news. I was looking the other day for the PC demo on codemasters web site. The demo was not available for the PC and now it is.
If sony does the drivers right, it show work for all games. Just like the Frag-FX or mLani Studios MoBi.
How about MLB 2009, Ratchet and Clank, or Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Just to name a few
I guess I going to wait for the demo to see how well my laptop can run it. My laptop has the T9300 - 2.5ghz (6mb cache), 3Gigs of RAM, 320gig Hard Drive (7200rpm),and a dedicated 512mb 8800GTS.
Edit:
I like to run my games at least on medium/high details at minimum. I never like the way PC games look on low details. This laptop did run Crysis on a mix of high and very high detail. I 'm just hoping I can do the same with this game. If not I'll just get it on the PS3...
