I'm not a serious FF fan, so I can't say this one was the worst one, but I can say it was the worst I ever played. The linearity, the absence of towns and interesting sidequests, the horrid first hours in which the game chose who you play for you, the combat system relying on the mashing up of x button, the leveling system limiting the role you might choose (as well as the lvl you gain)... it was just an colossal letdown. I agree with the chat system -- and not only for socom, but as a general rule. It would be nice to be able to play and chat with your teammates without the need to listen to annoying kids or random conversation. Never played MAG, but I’m impressed with how they handled this problem in that game!
