Shush! Don't you give 'em any more funny ideas!
Step 1: Take a long, reflective, look at RE4 (ish...) and Dead Space 1;
Step 2: Get rid of Las Plagas (monsters should NOT shoot back at you!) and QTE;
Step 3: Remove co-op from the main campaign and turn it into a bonus activity, like mercenaries mode.
Step 4: Swap the whole world wild catastrophe for some small mysterious settlement;
Step 5: Keep one thing in mind throught the whole process - you (as the player) are not there looking for a fight, but to survi...
I agree with the autor and I haven't upgraded yet. Although, the ps4 release of FFXIV ARR is giving me an itch I'm dieing to scratch: I can't play it on pc, and the ps3 port has a lot of frames drops, lag and pop ins due to it's memory limitation.
lololol
Too damn long? A video game? There's no such thing...
I am. Gladly!
I'm having a great time playing it on ps3 with my girlfriend! It's really good and all but I'm dying to get into the expansion, so I'll get it again when it hits ps4.
I do! :)
Hope it's better than the first one!
I was going to make the same coment. Well, almost. I haven't seen any other videos for this game, but the lack of impact animation completely killed the combat for me. I think/hope they've shown this too soon. Maybe they are still working on those animations... it has potential to be another Amalur, combat wise, IF they fix it.
I look at this game, as well as some timeless gems that came before it, like rayman's origin/legend, ni no kuni, outland, folklore, the last of us, journey... anyway, I just can't understand how there are so many people out there who won't ever accept gaming as an expression of art.
Raiden looks like a barbie doll in MGS2. In MGS4, that's Akiba. So I guess he means this.
“I’d rather not make games than go fucking be a slave for public companies who care more about their shareholders than they do about their customers.”
That's cool! Go Lanning! lol
I'll buy this for ps3, ps4 and vita eventually. Love this game and it looks freaking gorgeous now!
Robot batman with a gun!
I've never got to play it, but I've heard it was, technically, a mess, with huge frame drops and game breaking bugs. To make matters worse, there was that annoouncement that there wouldn't be any patch to fix it all.

To all of you defending it: are those claims just overreaction? Is the game polished?
I feel like I've been waiting for this for years! Can't wait to replay it - day one from me as well!
Couldn't they just diminish the amount of souls an enemy would drop after some time? Kill X enemy 12 times and it will start to drop 60 souls instead of 600. I think it would serve the same goal, but you wouldn't have an empty area and would still be able to farm items. Just not souls.
"using humanity as a reward encourages co-op play."
Couldn't agree more. Back in Demon's Souls, I don't think I've ever used any item to restore my humanity. I'd rather do it through co-op.
Not so much in DkS, as it was harder to be summoned there... but anyways, it's a winning system in my book. Didn't knew it was removed from DkS2!
Is the frame rate as bad in DkS2 as it was in the original (Darkroot Garden, Blighttown...)? My copy of the game didn't arrive yet, so I can't see it for myself...
Fatal Frame was the scariest game I ever played. I miss it so very dearly...
I also like the idea of limited saves. I really miss those ink ribbons!
