I want people's review to reflect the whole product I'm expending money on: quality and length. This way I can make a conscient purchase, knowing up from exactly what I'm getting. They are reviewing an product, and it's length is an important part of it, which should not be overlooked.
And you get to choose two classes that plays completely different from each other in that demo, so you could throw at least another hour of replay value in there!
Whaaaa...? Metal Gear is going downhill?! I guess I've been living under a rock, because last time I've check, it was as fine as ever. lol
Speak for yourself. I want a review to tell me if the game is good just as well as if it is worth the price tag. I like reviews that review the product as a whole. Good game, good bang for your buck.
Too many games out there and not enough money to get 'em all, you know?
My only grip with the game:
"This time though, not only are you losing segments of your life bar with each death, but you can only defeat any enemy in a given section 12 times, before they disappear altogether (unless you procure Bonfire Ascetic – an item that makes surrounding enemies harder to kill, and is rumoured to bring them back to life too). How are you going to procure such an item to save yourself from a soulless purgatory though? You certainly can’t afford to ...
Capcom is not too far behind EA on the greedy topic. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried the same stunt as well.
"Think about this – when was the last time you’ve seen a plain old game demo? Not a multiplayer beta, not a Steam Early Access, just an old-fashioned single player demo."
Castlevania: LoS2, not too long ago. And Lightning Returns before it. But I do see your point. Demos used to be common practice a few years ago. At the begining of this generation, almost every big hit game would have a demo ready before launch time. I miss that...
I haven't! Would you have a link for it?
I like the challenge. I really like the medievel dark fantasy setting. And I love the gameplay. But the atmosphere? That's what made me fall in love with this series. It is so immersive that it is impossible to let it go!
Code Veronica, back on the Dreamcast days, was still amazing. It is my favorite RE to date! ... I wish they would bring Claire back.
@-MD-
I am being naive, am I not? Ok, right. And here you are, thinking that Dark Souls 2 is locked at 30fps. It couldn't possible be a better looking game because it is multiplat. Sorry, but that is just silly. Even in it's best build, before the downgrade, DkS2 still wasn't anywhere near the better looking ps3 games that came before it - third party included. To say it couldn't be done because of hardware limitation is to say you haven't seen anything else lookin...
They already dismissed this rumor as fake.
"Can 100 percent confirm there will NOT be a Demon's Souls 2," Atlus PR manager says.

This excuse is so lame that it's not even funny. This 8 years old hardware was really fine and capable when I was playing TLoU, GTAV, Kingdoms of Amalur, Skyrim, inFamous 2. Now DkS2 comes along and all of sudden, the ps3 is incapable of perform nice graphics because it is a 8 years old hardware. Oh, come on...
Hoping for the best... expecting disappointment. We'll see.
I've heard it was steady now. You mean fps is still a problem?
"The game is massive and Chicago is massive, but don’t expect, like, the biggest open world ever done. Do expect the deepest one you’ve ever seen, though."
That's really interesting! Deepest open world, huh? What could it mean? It sounds promising, for sure!
@anonjohn23
8-10 hours? lol
It is already confirmed: it's a 2 hours game on normal playthroughs, 6 if you count the side missions. To finish it around 10 hours I guess you'll have to stop and count the trees for a little while.
"Now, I don't want to cause any harsh feelings, or to come across some kind of fangirl, but we all just have to accept it. FFX-2 is better than FFX."
My opinion is the right one and we all just have to accept that. Humpf!
Yeah, I can totally take you seriously. x)
She is probably a Lightning fan as well. lol
Maybe, if he thinks it is so short and so expensive that it qualifies as a scam (as he said so in the review). The Examiner reviewer was trying to both send a message that this is not ok, and to warn consumers about what is going on. The way I see it, he was not only brave, but also very consumer conscient - which is something I wholeheartedly appreciate. There will be dozens of reviews out there, so I don't mind if one or two of them focus on the fact that, despite it being a good demons...
