i completely agree with you i have a droid 2 and the minute i jump online to browse, use netflix, or play a simple puzzle game like words with friends my battery drains immediately.
for me to use any of these 3 things i have to keep my phone charged. also does anyone notice when you do use any app or browse the web the phone gets really hot?
i tell what the day dedicated handhelds stop being made, and i have to rely on phones/tablets to get me gaming on the go i'll stop gaming on the go.
to me when i see people playing on tablets like ipad and whatnot it looks complete retarded. for me i need proper controls when gaming. also i like full fledged games not these flash games or games where im just swiping my finger across the screen. to me this is not gaming.

personally i don't care that they dropped the price i still will not buy a 3DS because the 3D effect combined with the small screen just doesnt mesh with my bad eyes. when i tried it out it had the same effect that half life 2 had for me(headaches, nausea) to the point where i have to lay down just to have the feeling subside.

Im curious if you've been gaming 5yrs longer than me have you never gamed on PS1, PS2; NES, SNES, Genesis, Sega Master System, N64, Gamecube, Dreamcast? I would really like know.
Also what has Sony done that you would claim to never send a dime on them? Personally I hate Microsoft but that didn't stop me from owing both their consoles(wont pay for live though).

Even if Microsoft wasn't an option id still be gaming the way I am today. I've been gaming for over 30yrs starting with atari. Microsoft isn't the be all end all for this industry. They havent done anything to further the industry other than online which again isn't the be all end all.
Sony's been supporting devs since PS1 so this Microsoft dude can take his claim and shove it where the sun don't shine.
i understand where you're coming from, but for me i have a lengthy commute to and from work here in NYC so gaming on a handheld makes plenty of sense.
for me its the opposite since my doctor is a ways away bus/train that gives me plenty of time to wip out the old handheld and play
game(s) with substance which i feel games on smartphones dont offer especially since they dont have proper controls, and buttons.

this is so true i own all 3 systems and each of them has great games, but in general i favor the PS3 because it has the variety of games more to my liking; plus majority of my friends have a ps3 over the 360.
i've been gaming for over 30 years and ive always owned more than 1 console per generation; in each one ive always favored one over the other, but that doesnt mean i dont play the others (well with the exception of the wii lol) they'll all get played sooner or ...

anyway OT i think this is a very cool idea since i didnt get to play a lot of the psp games out there.
also if you wanna discuss milking how about you tell your favorite console maker to stop running out the same 3 IPs over and over, and start coming up with some new and creative IPs.
For me either one is a fine choice. I love the firefly/serenity series, I absolutely love castle. I watch emily in haven and I love that show too. So for me im good either way.
I game on my psp on the way to work on the train. Since the train recordings are loud enough to go through my headset I rarely if at all miss my stop.
For me its either game, listen to music, or sleep on the ride to and from work. Reading puts me out quick fast lol.

what i find funny is how all these people are defending kinect when there's nothing on it that is remotely good expect Child of Eden which no one seems to want to support. i mean its a game made with kinect in mind and it hasnt even hit the 100k mark yet, and if it did it just barely made it.
all these kinect defenders seem to support the shovelware crap thats come out...
i will never see mobile gaming on my phone as true gaming. as for the portability of the vita i don't have a problem there as i always carry my bookbag to work every day. so the system as the cards can stay in it while i work.
i didn't really any issue with part 2, i even platinum the game.
still no actual footage of gameplay after all this time wth. if they want people to take this game seriously they need to start showing actual footage of how its played.
