Yah that ain't happening. The best selling game ever for Xbox was halo 2 and that didn't Crack 9 million. With gamepass, it's very unlikely they will ever come close to numbers like that again for a game.

@redevils you do realize square themselves have said that they will be selling stakes in the studios. Sony might be able to buy, or at thr very least aquire large stakes in some if it's studios. I'd love it if Sony could pry thr final fantasy ip from them, but even if they can't they will likely continue to get thr exclusive on them

That's a pretty big hit. One of the only studios MS has that consistently does a good job. Ofcourse it wasnt good when things happened with naughty dog, but they are an elite studio and had plenty of great people to rise up and take thr reigns. Be curious to see how this impacts them.
Not sure I will pick up forspoken, but FF16 is shaping up to be a serious game of the yr contender imo. Add in Spiderman which you know is gonna be fantastic and that alone is a pretty damn good yr. Plus forspoken, FF7 rebirth, horizon burning shores dlc. Really Looking forward to tchia and season. Plus we will probably get at least one of the silent Hill games announced, my guess is silent Hill 2 remake. Likely we will finally get the last of us multi-player and helldivers 2 as well. Blu...
I actually think PS5 is going to widen its lead significantly. Starting March there will be no issues going into retail stores and finding a ps5 readily available. That hasn't been the case the entire 2 yrs it has been out. Series S has been available the entire Gen, and they are still getting outsold by almost 30%
Also just because tencent own part of from fromsoft doesn't mean Sony cant aquire them. Tencent owns 16%, Sony owns 14% if fromsoftware wanted to sell, it would certainly be to sony and not tencent. If they were to sell to sony, Sony would own 84% to 16% sony could do whatever they wanted if that were to happen. Tencent would just collect their checks on sales, like they already do.
@orchard all the companies I listed combined aren't worth what Activision is, but I'd take square and capcom straight up for activision any day of the week. Resident evil, devil may cry, steetfighter, and final fantasy series are way more important to me. Many might disagree with me I know. Personally I think Sony can and has had already had better multi-player games than COD. they likely will never make something as big though. I'd rather go for quality than quality.
